The ticket prices for last nights game are unsustainable and can only be for ‘one off’ games. However, I notice that the prices have been creeping up recently since our ‘business minded’ new owners have become involved. The point is if we’ve got approximately 13,000 capacity it needs to be met every game and ticket prices must reflect the financial rigours the support are currently facing. It’s a real conundrum particularly if we are going to recruit or even hold onto the sort of quality players we need if aspirations are to be met going forward. Filling the ground should be the first priority and the recent rises should be reversed to enable that.

I agree, totally, with what you write. 36 quid for the cheapest seat and 26 for a terrace spot ( Thatchers) is not good and I know we have had opposition clubs fans complain about this. Thing is we know that it’s very rare for prices to come down, once they have gone up. I hope to see more quid a kid and promotions in the near future. I don’t know where you get the 14K capacity from as it’s been said, many times, that the new stand does not actually give a bugger crowd, down to SAG restrictions.

It's a business and some high wager earners on pur books Marton Marquis Collins and Taylor mean ticket prices have to be high. Serious discount for season ticket holders and most matches sell outs mean walk up fans prepared to pay those prices.

How many games you attended at the Mem over past three seasons? I can assure you. I’ve been to most home games this season. Buy a ticket online about a week before. Games over Christmas and the Norwich game were sell outs. Just checked online, blackpool game less than 48 hours time, tickets available in areas that aren’t the south stand. I just moved back to Bristol in July. Have attended a lot of games thanks.

It's a business and some high wager earners on pur books Marton Marquis Collins and Taylor mean ticket prices have to be high. Serious discount for season ticket holders and most matches sell outs mean walk up fans prepared to pay those prices. It is a business but most fans are facing a massive squeeze on their disposable incomes, attending a football game is a luxury that if there's not the money there, has to be left out. Or people might only be able to afford to attend one in every few games now rather than every game they used to afford fairly comfortably. I think it's better to have a full ground and slightly lower income per fan than have expensive tickets and half empty ground. Maybe the club could offer a deal where you buy say 5 matches for £70 (standing I'm talking about) or something similar. As people say our new owners are more business minded it seems by yet surely if you really had a business mind you wouldn't invest in a football club, unless you invested the big bucks to get the team in the premier league and relatively soon as surely every season of losses accumulates. I wonder what the thinking of all of these overseas tycoons actually is, because to me it really makes no business sense at all.
