Would you send a " good prospect" out on loan to a seemingly failing club like FGR,just to get "game time" ? To a club where the manager has publicly slated the players? To a club with no manager now.

Another probable departure until end of the season Rovers Welsh under 21 international Taylor clearing the decks. Luca Hoole in todays lineup so I’m assuming this was a load of tosh?

Yep another FAKE NEWS so far. Imagine a manager loaning out a physically fit defender when you have an injury crisis and cup tied personnel?

Matt Taylor ends Luca Hoole uncertainty following Bristol Rovers defender's pre-season no-show..By James Piercy, Sports Editor
Luca Hoole has been exploring free agency following the expiry of his contract at the Memi2-prod.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/article9409818.ece/ALTERNATES/s1176b/0_GettyImages-2123626695.jpgMatt Taylor has conceded that Bristol Rovers have effectively moved on from expecting Luca Hoole to sign a new contract and the only consideration now is how much the club can seek to recoup in terms of compensation. Hoole’s agreement expired on June 30 and he failed to return for pre-season the following day, with images on Instagram showing him training on his own in Wales. Since then, there’s been no indication the 22-year-old plans to return to Rovers as he explores free agency, with the Gas having played their second pre-season friendly on Saturday at Bath City. A product of the Rovers academy, Hoole has made 102 first-team appearances and proved a versatile figure in defence, as a full-back or right-sided centre-back, but the understanding within BS7 is that he’s played his final game for the club. Speaking on Saturday, in the aftermath of their 1-0 win over the Romans, Taylor said: “The timelapse, I suppose, has been and gone in terms of when we expected him to sign a contract, if he was going to sign it. So now, in terms of the club’s position, it’s what’s to be if he moves on and what the club is getting back in terms of potential tribunal.” With Hoole having been developed through the Rovers system and still aged under 24, once he does find a new destination, the Gas are entitled to compensation which can either be agreed between the clubs or heard at a tribunal to determine the final figure. Given his age, experience through appearances made, and the fact he’s a Wales Under-21 international, it should be a reasonable figure to help soften the blow of losing the Newport-born defender. Hoole, who's been with the club since he was 12, proved a popular member of the dressing room and was part of the 2021/22 promotion-winning squad. It's an underwhelming end to his time in north Bristol, with Taylor's predecessor toxic turd Barton once claming Hoole could one day captain the Gas.

Looks like his choice then. Rovers must have offered him an increased contract to be entitled to compensation, I believe....

Luca Hoole on the verge of joining Shrewsbury Town Amazing clubs like Shrewsbury can offer more than us, either that or we are cutting back. We seem to be offering longer contracts offering security rather than wages, perhaps. Odd though that it appears Luca didn't speak to the club, unless of course he wanted away from the start....

Or he wanted first team football, a change of scenery, stability, may have preference for their footballing approach…there are endless reasons. Good luck to him.
