Bristol Rovers or Norwich City will see their FA Cup fourth round tie away at Liverpool televised on ITV1 with the fixture taking place on Sunday January 28th - 2:30pm.

Who will face the current Premier League leaders and juggernauts of both English and European football will be decided on Wednesday night as the pair face off at the Mem in the third round replay following their 1-1 draw at Carrow Road last Saturday.

Rovers made an excellent account of themselves away at Championship opposition as Grant Ward's stunning strike cancelled out Ashley Barnes' opener before Jevani Brown and Luke Thomas arguably had the best chances to hand the Gas the lead before the contest ended in a draw.

After that performance in Norfolk, there will be confidence that Matt Taylor's side can progress to the fourth round for the first time since 2008 especially when considering the Pirates' home form this campaign, especially of late after two 94th minute winners secured victories over Portsmouth and Charlton Athletic towards the back-end of 2023.


Of course, excitement since Monday's fourth round draw for the replay has sky-rocketed following the prospect of going away to not only one of the world's biggest clubs but also one of its most famous footballing venues in Anfield.

Furthermore, there is also the incentive of financial gain by progressing in the competition with £105,000 in prize money up for grabs for the side victorious in Wednesday's replay. Now though, the monetary value of progressing in the FA Cup has increased further with broadcast money up for grabs following the confirmation that the fixture will be televised.

First there is an important league trip to Barnsley to deal with on Saturday as Taylor's men look to close the gap on the play-offs. The Tykes currently occupy sixth place and have a nine point advantage over the Gas, making it a particularly important contest. However, it has been tough for supporters to direct the majority of their attention towards Wednesday's replay with the though of the prize at stake and the incentive has grown even further as a result of the television pick.
