No surprise, showed some promise at the start of his loan and then faded, looked completely out of sorts when coming on as sub in last outing.

Bristol Rovers' latest departure foreshadows what could be expected this transfer window..By Daniel Hargraves.
Bristol Rovers have now seen two midfield loanees return to their parent clubs early this transfer window
i2-prod.bristolpost.co.uk/incoming/article9026399.ece/ALTERNATES/s810/0_JS314631582-1.jpg Ryan Woods has returned to Hull City after his loan spell at Bristol Rovers was cut short Bristol Rovers have seen a second loanee's stay at the club cut short early after Ryan Woods' return to Championship outfit Hull City was confirmed by both clubs on Wednesday afternoon. The 30-year-old's departure is the second of a loanee this month following Lamare Bogarde's return to Aston Villa. However, the common factor in both recalls is that both are defensive midfielders. Suddenly, Rovers are approaching a possible lack of resources in the middle of the park, an area that going into the transfer window had been one of the strongest areas in regards to depth. As was the case with Bogarde, Woods' departure doesn't come as much of a surprise. Sure, there was less speculation surrounding the 30-year-old's future at the club than Bogarde who, as a teenage prospect at one of England's biggest football clubs, is suddenly being chased by Championship sides who wish to take the Dutchman on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

Wage bill reduced, positions becoming vacant.
I think we'll see a couple incoming over the next 21/2 weeks.

An established player in the division above who once commanded a seven-figure fee and played for Brentford as they carefully laid the foundations of a PL club.
You have to think that injuries, a lack of playing time or perhaps off-field issues have taken their toll.
A classic B***** signing, in that he was trading on a pre-established reputation and so didn't require extensive scouting from a non-existent Eddy Jennings-led operation (also see Friend, Hunt and Martin).
With us, all was going fairly well until a foolish act of petulance saw him prematurely depart at Burton. Nobody spoke of a 'ginger Pirlo' afterwards.
Now 30, so you can fully expect to see him at somebody like Crewe or Gillingham fairly soon.
That is all.

Not impressed with what I have seen here. Abysmal away at Reading.
In fairness though his game time here has been disrupted but think we can do better

Like the rest of the team, apart from Martin? In the first half, he was the worst of a truly awful team performance.

Hope they get more out of him than we did, bar of course when they play us. Bound to have a stormer then and score against us
