The 21 year old has recovered from his broken arm following his loan spell at Bromley where he played twice
The former Weston Super mare player played a few pre season games for Rovers before Barton loaned him out
So MT can consider him for first team duty I presume Trevor Clarke will shortly return too following his Irish loan we need an experienced left full back.

I can't see where it says this officially, but if true, it's what we've been screaming of as a try out..

Bristol Rovers loan watch as Ryan Jones returns to train despite Bromley stay being extended..by Daniel Hargraves.www.bromleyfc.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/ryan-jones2.jpgBristol Rovers youngster Ryan Jones Ryan Jones is back training with Bristol Rovers despite still technically being on loan at Bromley for the remainder of the campaign after the National League side said they no longer require the midfielder, according to Matt Taylor. Jones joined Bromley on a three-month loan in September which was then extended to the end of the season in January. However, the 21-year-old has made five appearances and scored one goal for the fifth tier side who are currently pushing for promotion into the Football League, sitting in second. The youngster joined the Gas from Weston-super-Mare in 2020 and has made seven first team appearances while being on the bench for this season's opening league matches against Portsmouth and Barnsley. Frustratingly, because Jones' loan was extended for the remainder of the campaign, he can't have that deal terminated to go on loan elsewhere so the midfielder is back training with Taylor's side. Rovers had a well-documented midfield shortage for their League One match at Northampton Town last weekend and included youngster Jerry Lawrence on the bench while Kofi Shaw travelled with the squad. Due to Jones' situation with Bromley though, the 21-year-old couldn't be included on Saturday. Last summer saw the midfielder sign a new 12-month contract which will expire in the summer and it currently appears uncertain where his future lies with Taylor declaring on Saturday: "Bromley don’t want him so he’s back training with ourselves. They’re still committed to the loan financially until the end of the season. It’s a surreal situation. They extended the loan and they don’t want him at Bromley so he’s going to train with us but he can’t go elsewhere. "I hate to say it but if you don’t get in Bromley’s team, you’re not going to get into Bristol Rovers’ first team so we have to put that into perspective in relation to that. "That’s probably a reflection on that situation but it is surreal that a player is getting paid by another club elsewhere to be on loan and contribute has been sent back to ourselves." Elsewhere, Harvey Greenslade has started the last two games for new loan side Oxford City after making the step up from the National League South with Truro City to the National League in January. The striker made 19 league appearances for Truro, scoring four goals and now has the opportunity to compete at a higher level. The academy graduate made his debut for the Hoops from the bench earlier this month in a 3-2 defeat at Kidderminster Harriers and has since had another substitute appearance in a 2-0 loss at Woking and played the full 90 minutes in a 7-1 away thumping at Woking and a goalless draw at home to Southend United. City are currently bottom of the fifth tier having been promoted last season after winning the National League South play-offs and are seven points from safety but 20th place Southend have three games in hand. It has also been a productive start to life on loan for James Gibbons at Cambridge United. The right-back started the U's' last two League One matches away at leaders Portsmouth and bottom side Carlisle United, a 3-1 defeat and a 4-0 victory respectively. The 25-year-old is expected to be ineligible for Cambridge's trip to the Mem on April 16 and is likely to leave Rovers this summer when his contract expires.

Sadly seems to have lost his way at Bromley. Would love to know why the wheels have fallen off there so spectacularly. Doesnt seem the type to cause trouble or not knuckle down and work hard and this must put his long term future here (if he ever had one) in jeopardy.
Shame as he has looked a real prospect when I’ve seen him, and was hoping he would get game time here this season

Given Taylor’s recent comments about a few players being excluded if their spirit is not with the club surely we can see a few youngsters like Jones get minutes.
Why play Vale in nothing matches if our youngsters could benefit from experience?

The club seemingly don't want to recall him whilst Bromley are paying his wages and, you have to sense, MT has already decided if he's not good enough for Bromley he's not good enough for L1.

Ryan Jones has joined National League club Aldershot Town following his departure from Bristol Rovers..By Daniel Hargravesi2-prod.bristolpost.co.uk/incoming/article9381303.ece/ALTERNATES/s810/0_JS305257010-2.jpgRyan Jones has joined National League side Aldershot Town on a two-year deal after leaving Bristol Rovers at the end of last season, making the versatile wing-back, who was also known to play in midfield, the fifth player of the seven released to find a new club. The 22-year-old made seven appearances for the Gas having joined from Weston-super-Mare in 2020 but spent last term on loan at Bromley, a spell that proved counterproductive. Jones suffered an injury early into his time at the eventual National League play-off winners but following his return to action, the club opted to extend his loan that was set to end in January until the end of the season. However, it was quickly deemed that the wing-back was surplus to requirements and he spent the remainder of the campaign back at Rovers training but, because he was still technically on loan, he couldn't play for the Gas or go elsewhere. A number of links have emerged over the years between Rovers and Aldershot with current Shots manager Tommy Widdrington the Gas' former director of football while head of recruitment Jamie Hedges was an analyst with Rovers. Additionally, a number of former Rovers players are currently at the fifth tier side or have featured for them since leaving BS7, including the likes of Jordi van Stappershoef, Cameron Hargreaves, Josh Barrett, Zain Walker and Cian Harries.
