Sincerely hope not . Any shot from distance , found wanting , and arrows into net or tries to be a sweeper & gets caught out . Cox or Ward for me . Belshaw league 2 .... at best.

Yes, Belly posted this on Instagram earlier, and was also mentioned on Having A Gas: "Massive thank you to everyone at @fgrfc_official for the past few weeks! Great people and a fantastic club. I wish you all the best for the future! 💚🖤" http://instagram.com/p/C01_qyDoNml

On 30th September 2023, he joined League Two club Forest Green Rovers on a seven-day emergency loan deal.
He was awarded the Player of the Month award for October 2023.
He announced on 14th December 2023 that he was leaving the club upon the expiration of what was referred to by the club as "the longest emergency loan ever".

Oooh. I do like that pink GK shirt. Welcome back Belshaw. I've never seen him play. But if he fell out with the previous manager, that's good enough for me.

He’s a competent keeper imho and the best we have had since Martyn. Makes the odd mistake (which keeper doesn’t?) but is massively in credit in terms of points won vs points lost. Better than all the other 3 keepers we have on our books in my opinion based on current ability and what I have seen of them all. All the rest are young though so may eventually prove to be better than him with time, maturity and experience.

Bristol Rovers goalkeeper James Belshaw re-joins League Two club in second emergency loan deal..By Daniel Hargraves
James Belshaw made over 100 appearances for Harrogate Town before joining Bristol Rovers in 2021
i2-prod.bristolpost.co.uk/incoming/article8979323.ece/ALTERNATES/s810/0_JS216313365.jpg James Belshaw lifts the National League play-off final trophy with Harrogate TownBristol Rovers goalkeeper James Belshaw has re-joined former club Harrogate Town on an emergency loan deal having spent the past two-and-a-half months at fellow League Two outfit Forest Green Rovers after initially signing on similar terms. It appeared as though Belshaw had been recalled by the Gas to be involved in their upcoming festive fixtures after the 33-year-old posted a farewell message to Forest Green on Thursday evening. The goalkeeper was signed by the Gloucestershire outfit on an initial seven-day emergency loan which was continuously renewed, leading to him becoming a key figure in the squad, making 11 appearances for David Horseman's side. Instead of leaving Forest Green to play for the Gas, Belshaw has instead been sent to another fourth tier outfit in Harrogate Town, the club from which Rovers signed the goalkeeper back in 2021 and where he is something of a modern legend. During a four-year stint with the Yorkshire side, the 33-year-old was part of the team that went from the National League North up to League Two within the space of three seasons and also won the FA Trophy in 2020, making 127 career appearances in that first stint. Sat in 18th place, Harrogate are currently nine points off of the relegation zone and the goalkeeper's former side Forest Green in the League Two table, although the latter do have a game in hand. Town play at home to Notts County tomorrow (Saturday), interestingly the club whom Nottingham-born Belshaw supported growing up and who Harrogate beat in the 2020 National League play-off final, before travelling to Grimsby Town next Saturday.

It suggests his time at Rovers is over.

Seems to me that this is a move instigated by the player and his agent.
