Following the shocking performance on Saturday MT has cancelled the players Christmas party!
Great to know he finds what we saw ourselves as unacceptable
Expect some wholesale changes at Gresty Road tomorrow evening

Good for him. Some are lucky he didn't cancel their contracts.

Bit harsh!
Was wondering whether it's something to do with fixture congestion. But the paper clipping I've seen doesn't seem to say that. Although, the plan was travelling to Dublin after the Cheltenham game - was there really time to do that and then prepare for another game on Tuesday??

Thinking about it, surely the decision was made to cancel the Dublin trip before the Cheltenham game.
If so, could that be the reason for the first half performance on Saturday? It shouldn't though.

It is believed that the players cancelled the trip once Crewe game date known. Correct: Christmas party cancellation rumours squashed..Matt Taylor has confirmed that Bristol Rovers are planning to have a Christmas party after this weekend's game at Bolton Wanderers after a report in the Daily Mail emerged earlier this week suggesting that the new Gas manager had called off Rovers' Christmas party because of the side's form. It was stated that Taylor had "cancelled the Pirates' planned Christmas do following their poor run of form" while "players were expecting to travel to Dublin after Saturday's draw at home to Cheltenham but those plans were scrapped - much to the frustration of some of the squad." Although those plans were called off, it was due to the fact that Rovers had their rearranged FA Cup tie with Crewe on Tuesday and there are plans for celebrations to take place after Saturday's game against Bolton, according to Taylor. Asked for clarification on the rumour, the Rovers manager said in his press conference on Thursday: "It was cancelled, but because we had a game on Tuesday. People can write if there's anything drastic in relation to that but I think if you're a professional footballer, and the team certainly understood, and I'd expect our fans to understand that if we play on a Saturday and we've got a game on a Tuesday, it's probably not the right thing to have a Christmas party. "We'd be disrespecting Crewe, we'd be disrespecting the FA Cup, we'd be disrespecting the people who pay our wages and the supporters and ourselves because we wouldn't be preparing right. "So that certainly wasn't my decision. That's a club understanding of what is professional and what's right and wrong. And I'm sure now with no game the following Tuesday, I'm right in saying I think the players have got something organised for this weekend."

I'm truly liking the lack of gobsh1tery.

Yeah, win games, and Taylor'll do. Such an improvement.
