Hi, to be honest I do not know! but I know a man who will know. Do nothing for now and hopefully will have an answer soon. Not seen it myself but been mad packing. We are still looking to see if we can go back to being ad free but due to the popularity of the forum it comes at a cost.

Pro Boards provide this forum to us free of charge. They make a living by selling ads on the forum.
Your ad blocker software is giving you the choice as to whether you see the ads or not. Proboards can obviously see you're using an ad blocker and are appealing to you to disable it, just for this website. So essentially it's your call.
We did have problems on the old site with some of the ads having malicious software incorporated into them. There is no indication to date that the same issues has arisen on this site.

There's ads but I don't even notice them. They're at the bottom of the page and out of sight in all honesty. I've not noticed anything at the top of the page, but now I've looked on purpose I see there's a header telling me I can start my own free forum if I want.
So in short, nothing happens. If turning off ad blocker helps whoever runs these forums then that's fine by me. Give it a go and if you don't like it you can turn the blocker back on again. I've still got it running for everywhere else.
