Proof that Bill Shankly's quote about death and football was totally wrong.
I lost both of my elder siblings during my life and both of my parents survived them. I often wondered how my parents survived a double loss of their children and following my Mothers death and listening to the words honouring her strength from the vicar who was also a family friend, I realised how strong my Mother had been to live a full life until the age of 92 despite suffering a heart attack in her 50's within weeks of my sister dying.
Darrell is sadly not alone but his strength and dignity is there for us all to see and I am so glad he is getting the support to help him cope with his future.
What a wonderful human being.
