eye test tomorrow with specsavers..WSM.... they do have their normal 2 for 1 "offer" i do need varifocals... Glasses Direct do have cheap offers going including for varifocals and "normal" specs, just wondering if any of you peeps have gone down their route and what the service is like.. especially if the glasses don't do what they are supposed to and the complaint column is activated ...

My scepticism of Glasses Direct's claimed prices, and preference for high street optician surgeries one can go inside like Boots or Specsavers, are too high. Boots opticians always adjust frames for free. I trust them.

I buy the cheap £1/£1.50 glasses for work as I keep breaking , loosing them , get a good pair from s/s for best / home Strange one is I passed my medical ( eye sight part ) without glasses , even optician was surprised , another clear this year on diabetic eye tests which is good

Well Specsavers it was eventually, and it seems ..so far the right choice..as my initial prescription wasn't quite right ( vari focals) vision not quite in the right areas so my sight was out of focus.. been today after a visit last week to get a new set of lens fitted, again not " there " as I could now no longer read what was in front of me..so..I have had to have another eye test.free. and this one is a slight difference to the first one,so another new set of lenses next Friday... can't see GD ( not that GD!!) Standing up to that for nowt, but under the contract ..they ain't right until they are right , so hopefully all should be sorted next week 🤞
