Conference Premier Home Crowds 2014/15
Aug 27 We thought we would miss Luton Town but Bristol Rovers, Wrexham FC, Grimsby Town, Chester City and Lincoln fans take a bow! Although Torquay United, Aldershot Town and Forest Green Rovers sit not too far behind. Welcome to the first Vanarama Conference attendance of the 2014/15 season
What a healthy set of statistics we have after 5 games with Bristol Rovers against Grimsby attracting 7,019, Wrexham attracting 4,068 against Gateshead and FGR enjoying a bumper 3,781 for the West Country derby against Bristol Rovers. The Mariners managed 3,710 at home to Nuneaton but the Imps look likely get into the top two when they entertain the Mariners early next month. Grimsby look set to bring 1800 and, with both the Lincolnshire giants flying a massive crowd is assured.

I thought with the result and reasonable performance against FGR we could get a reasonable crowd against Halifax but with the news of the new stadium about to be given the last rites there may be more than a few 'stay awayers' but fair play to us Gasheads even in the most adverse times we keep turning up !

I would agree Bridgeman
Sadly I also believe that the club [board] does not deserve such loyal support
What a fiasco!!

The stadium news won't affect the crowd at all. Why would people not attend because the new ground might not go ahead?

Because some fans have spent a lot of time and effort supporting the board with this project only to find out they have been rather economic with the truth ?

Because it near enough spells the end of any hope or light at the end of the tunnel. Supporting a lower league football club is all about the promise of jam tomorrow but without the new stadium I just can't see where this hope comes from any more.
