Bobby played 758 games and scored 249 goals at Manchester United winning the European Cup, three league titles, and the FA Cup.
He won 106 England caps, scored 49 goals, and the 1966 World Cup.

Career Stats of Bobby Charlton Played 924, Goals 320, Clubs: Manchester United, PNE, Waterford, England Schoolboys, Youth, U23 & England. Bobby won the 1966 World Cup, 3 League titles, European Cup, FA Cup, 2 Charity Shields, 3 Youth Cups & 5 British Home Championships. Also a whole host of individual awards inc an OBE, CBE, Knight Bachelor and an Order of the Rising Sun 4th class. Bobby met his wife Norma Ball at an ice rink in Manchester in 1959 and they married in 1961. They had 2 daughters, Suzanne and Andrea. Suzanne was a weather forecaster for the BBC during the 1990s. In 2007, while publicising his forthcoming autobiography, Bobby revealed that he had a long-running feud with his brother Jack. Jack presented him with his BBC Sports Personality of the Year Lifetime Achievement Award on 14th December 2008. He said that he was 'knocked out' as he was presented the award by his brother. He received a standing ovation as he stood waiting for his prize. In November 2020, it was revealed that Bobby had been diagnosed with dementia. On 21st October 2023, a statement from Bobby's family confirmed that he had died that morning.
