Yep Concept was spookily prescient about Cray Valley PM at the Valley Is that an omen that Charlton should be wary of? I do hope so, just for a laugh, you understand.

Still no news on official site of the fa cup draw?
Just as well we are home in first round as we then have four consecutive away matches to contend with. Presumably the South Stand can be finished during this period ready for the boxing day match with Portsmouth.
But on a happier note club news announced the Pirate Pot is go!
Bristol Rovers are delighted to announce that our academy funding scheme the Pirates Pot has achieved the required participants to begin the lottery.
The first draw is set to take place on Friday 8th December, to participate in the first draw you'll need to sign up by Thursday 19th October,

Surely we can't lose again to a non league side?

Almost nailed on Sheppey v Walsall (it was a Lambert penalty that put them through into the first 1st round of the FA Cup in their history) BRFC v Whitby Town could also be considered for live coverage as they are in the 7th tier of the football pyramid...

Nothing else really stands out apart from Hereford v Gillingham due to their giant killing feats in the past.

Would have preferred a trip up there. Would be another new ground and Whitby is a lovely place. Too far on a weekday if we get a replay.

Worth going to Whitby just for the fish & chips.
(And I should mention that they do a pretty good one opposite Vicarage Rd as well - will those days come again?)

Bound to be Chesterfield v Pompey TV?
Both top of respective divisions and an ex manager out to prove something?
Media will lap it up but if they present it at a ridiculous hour, the travelling Pompey fans won't appreciate that!

Match is potentially 9 days away and I presume its not been selected for live TV coverage?

Magpie Cafe is Gert Lush as they fry the fish in Beef Dripping. They have an 'Usherette' outside monitoring the queues and calling out''Table for 4 available on floor three!!!!!!!!'Loads of bread and butter served too. We did play there many moons ago but the new stand is a massive improvement.Secretary told me they got an income from the Council for allowing a phone mast on the roof of the old stand.

Pisces on Station Road in Yate added beef dripping to the vegetable oil for lastier fish and chips, before they were taken over by Frydays on Cranleigh Court, who then closed Pisces.
EDIT: sorry the FA Cup thread is now the fish and chips thread!

EDIT: sorry the FA Cup thread is now the fish and chips thread! Strangely Frydays is my local chippy in the Forest of Dean. My sister lives in Yate and years ago we had a take out from Pisces. It was excellent.
