We've Got History - previous meetings with today's opponents ... which purportedly shows a couple of photos of Rovers v Vale from the 60s, but the article goes on to talk about fixtures between Rovers and Wigan Athletic!
I also notice our commercial team aren't doing too well selling shirt sponsorship. The 2023/24 sponsors lists: - 30 players. - 3 players with both home & away kit sponsored. - 4 players with only either one of home or away kit sponsored. - 23 players without any sponsorship, - 5 different sponsors. Is it worth doing this anymore??
Some of last years shirt sponsors struggled to get their allocated shirt from their respective player. Dare I say it but the commercial manager was I'm told deliberately unhelpful so some failed to renew their sponsorship
Wow! Crazy! How many more times am I going to be surprised with the goings on at the club, or perhaps I should no longer be surprised.
It really is shockingly poor sponsorship results.
The thing I dislike about marketing and sales people is they're always me, me, me; always shouting about the record figures they've produced, spinning things to look good, while other poor figures are going on and brushed under the carpet.
And as I've shown before, the club have shouted about record figures recently when they blatantly aren't
Anyone else notice the 2 new lights, to the right side as you look at it, at the top of the South Stand framework?
Like strip lighting. Seemed to be an attempt to boost the light in the South West corner, now the roof is going on there. Will be interesting to see if additional lighting goes up all along the South Stand roof, to compensate for the roof.
