How important is this guy to us..? And what an important signing he was for us! - Thank you JB..
Of course he came through our ranks, local and clearly loves the gas! You can see it.
He is only 34 and I believe as an impact sub could do it at championship level still today as he is in super shape.
He could be apart of our club for the next 4/5 years if he keeps himself fit.
The importance of his goals are going to be crucial,as Tuesday showed..
He could be one of the players that pushes us into the championship, pure quality.I think people underestimate how important he is to us.

I sense he is being played a bit further forward and this is why he is proving so effective. Last season he often seemed to be played a a wing back which I don’t think he has the legs for now - if he ever did.
Agreed he is looking really dangerous and could do a Wally Walters role for us for a few years yet

Exclusive: Scott Sinclair expected to remain at Bristol Rovers..By Daniel Hargraves.i2-prod.bristolpost.co.uk/incoming/article9343754.ece/ALTERNATES/s1176b/0_JS330282325.jpgBristol Rovers are growing increasingly confident that Scott Sinclair will remain a Gas player for 2024/25, Bristol Live understands, having been one of the three players set to be out of contract offered a new deal at the Mem. Sinclair is currently on holiday in Los Angeles, having been in Dubai with Grant Ward and now-Chesterfield left-back Lewis Gordon, but the expectation is that the former Gas academy player will be staying on for a third season back in BS7, with the Rovers squad due to report back for pre-season on July 1st. The 35-year-old enjoyed a strong final couple of months last term having essentially returned from the abyss in February, adding an energy to Rovers' attack from out wide that hadn't quite been there in some of the early games of Matt Taylor's tenure. Sinclair went almost four months without a league appearance from the end of October until mid-February, with Taylor's initial change to a back-three system not benefitting the winger who is very much an attack-minded player. However, a re-jig to a four-man defence saw the wide man slot back in on the left, starting the vast majority of the Gas' final 16 league games of the campaign, scoring two goals. Despite being one of the most senior players in the squad, the former Celtic, Aston Villa, Manchester City and Chelsea forward remains one of the quickest and boasts an outstanding work rate. With numerous clubs of such high calibre on his CV, the 35-year-old is a much-needed standard-bearer within the Rovers squad, offering invaluable experience and guidance to his teammates, particularly the young players coming through, and his continuation in BS7 will no doubt be a popular decision around the club. Whether he's a regular under Taylor this coming season is yet to be seen with the Gas expected to have an extremely busy summer in the transfer market as the Rovers boss gets the opportunity to start sculpting his squad more in his image which is particularly necessary after 13 players left at the end of last campaign. That total could increase further with decisions still yet to be made regarding the futures of Jordan Rossiter and Luca Hoole who were also both offered new deals at the end of the season with their respective contracts set to expire at the end of this month. However, Bristol Live understands that the pair are currently weighing up their respective options before committing to extending their stays at Rovers.

Scott Sinclair signs one-year deal at Bristol Rovers.. i2-prod.bristolpost.co.uk/incoming/article9109654.ece/ALTERNATES/s810/0_GettyImages-2018329582.jpgBristol Rovers winger Scott Sinclair has signed a new one-year deal with the League One club. The 35-year-old has previously played for Chelsea, Manchester City and Celtic in a 17-year career. Sinclair made his professional debut for the Gas in 2004, before moving to Chelsea the following year, and returned to the Memorial Ground in 2022. The three-time Scottish Premiership winner has since scored 10 goals in 68 appearances in all competitions. "I think everyone knows what this club means to me and the special place it holds in my heart," he told the Rovers website., external "It's mad to think it was 20 years ago this coming December that I made my debut for Rovers at 15 years old. "To be playing here, wearing this badge and shirt, it means the world to me."

'Sets a standard': Matt Taylor on decision to appoint Scott Sinclair as Bristol Rovers captain..By Daniel Hargravesi2-prod.bristolpost.co.uk/incoming/article9469389.ece/ALTERNATES/s810/0_GettyImages-2144153719.jpgMatt Taylor has insisted that Scott Sinclair was his first choice when making the decision to appoint Bristol Rovers' new club captain with the winger's career and professionalism key factors. With some enormous football clubs such as Celtic, Chelsea, Manchester City and Aston Villa on the 35-year-old's CV, Sinclair is an outstanding example for his teammates, especially considering how many young players are in Rovers' squad. Additionally, having come through the Gas academy, the Bath-born forward's career can be used as an inspiration to any player coming through. Having found himself out of the team for the best part of four months at one point last season, the wide man was one of Rovers' best players through the final handful of fixtures when he was reinstalled into the side and has impressed throughout pre-season as well after signing a new one-year contract. The Gas were always set to appoint a new captain ahead of the upcoming campaign after former club captain Sam Finley's departure while Antony Evans also left this summer to join Huddersfield Town having worn the armband a great deal in Finley's absence last term. On what made him make the decision to appoint Sinclair as his captain, Taylor said: "Seniority, leadership, professionalism. He sets a standard every single day. So, so humble despite what he's achieved in his career. His performances in pre-season and the second half of last season, how he stuck to task even when he wasn't in the team when I first came into the football club and how he just made himself fit, ready and available. Just set a fantastic example for a lot of our young players at this football club and he deserves it. "Like I say, he's had a good pre-season as well. Some fantastic finishes and has been involved in a lot of good attacking moments. So, he was my first port of call. I was delighted he accepted it because he's not naturally a loud character. Some captains are, but he'll lead in a certain way." As well as Sinclair, both James Wilson and Luke McCormick have also had spells wearing the armband during pre-season friendlies while 28-year-old Jamie Lindsay and 27-year-old Taylor Moore are amongst the club's more experienced arrivals this summer. Jack Hunt, Chris Martin and Grant Ward are also senior figures in the squad. Although he admitted he'd like more seniority within the squad, Taylor admitted that a leadership group will follow, adding: "Then a leadership group, a senior group will certainly follow suit. You always want more [senior players]. Of course you do. It's an area of the pitch we targeted in terms of our recruitment. Something that didn't quite materialise in terms of bringing natural captains into the football club. But we brought in good people. "Then you're looking at Scotty and Chrissy and Willo. I know Chrissy's suspended this weekend. Jamie Lindsay, when he's fully fit and firing. People who've been there and done it and not to underestimate how sometimes some of the younger ones, maybe the ones you don't look as natural leaders. Josh Griffiths has been promoted. He's a serious experience at good levels. Clinton Mola captained Reading. "So you're asking them to stand up and be counted for each others benefit a little bit more because when that whistle goes, we're all powerless on the touchline, on the sidelines and we want to help them as much as we possibly can. So, If we can get them to help each other first and foremost and find a rhythm and understanding of, not authority, but of personality on the pitch, that will certainly help us." Sinclair himself was announced as the club's new captain live on Sky Sports as they go around to every EFL club in the build up to the new season and said: "It's a great honour. Obviously being a young boy coming through the ranks and playing for various clubs and then to come back, it's my schoolboy dream to come back and captain the side."

'Still gelling' - Scott Sinclair offers verdict on new-look Bristol Rovers amid inconsistency..By Daniel Hargravesi2-prod.bristolpost.co.uk/incoming/article9650781.ece/ALTERNATES/s810/0_PPAUK_Bristol_Rovers_v_Charlton_Athletic_Goal_Sinclair_011024_045-1.jpgScott Sinclair has declared that Bristol Rovers are still gelling as a team with so many new players still getting to grips amid mixed recent form for the Gas. Rovers put an end to four consecutive defeats in League One earlier this month with back-to-back victories over Charlton Athletic and Burton Albion before a much-changed side were beaten 4-0 by Swindon Town in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy. The Gas then marked their return to league action with a 3-1 defeat at Huddersfield Town in which the visitors were second-best for the majority of the contest by some margin. After 11 games in the third tier, Matt Taylor's side have 13 points and sit 18th, five points off of the play-offs as well as being five points above the relegation zone. The Gas' mixed start has seen pressure on the manager grow but, according to captain Sinclair, there needs to be an understanding that this new-look side is still gelling with 16 players recruited over the course of the summer transfer window. "I think we've got a lot of quality and depth in the squad," the former Celtic, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Manchester City winger declared. "People need to realise that we're still gelling. There's a lot of players who have come and sometimes it takes time. For us, it's about finding that consistency and building forward and winning games back-to-back. "But I think it's the league as well. Huddersfield is a great team. I think they'll be up there in the top six without a doubt and it's for us to compete and challenge that as well. "Obviously it's really disappointing when you lose a game like that. You're coming in and you see the heads down but it's one of these games where you've got to bounce back and we've got another game Tuesday. We can't dwell on it too much and we go into Tuesday hoping we get a good result there. "We were very under the cosh in the first half. We had a few chances in the second half and obviously got a goal back by Isaac and then Lino could have made it 3-2. But yeah, the first half was tough and then the second half it was a little bit better but it obviously wasn't our day and wasn't good enough." The 35-year-old went six league games out of the starting line up, failing to get on the pitch in the 3-2 defeat at Peterborough United last month, but has been one of Rovers' standout players upon his return, scoring in back-to-back home matches against Wycombe Wanderers and Charlton. Sinclair was also named the Gas' new captain in the summer being one of the most experienced and senior players in what is largely a young suqad. The winger is often used as a stellar example of the professionalism with which players should conduct themselves by Taylor but, according to the man himself, nothing has changed since taking the armband. "Nothing's changed," the forward insisted. "I'm always off the field helping the younger ones and if they've got any questions for me and trying to direct them in the right direction. I can use my experiences and lay onto them. "Another thing, it's about not getting too high when you win a game and not getting too low when you lose. It's always onto the next and I think that's what we've got to do on Tuesday. There are other senior players in the squad so it's for us to try and lead that and keep pushing that to win games." As Sinclair alluded to, Rovers do have an opportunity to return to winning ways and record a third league win in four when they host Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday night who currently occupy a place in the relegation zone. However, anything but a victory would no doubt add to the increasing pressure currently on Taylor. "If we win Tuesday everyone will be happy again," the Rovers skipper added. "It's one of them. It's football and three out of four sounds good but you've just got to continue with this consistency and winning games and winning games back-to-back as well. "It's much more enjoyable when you get the three points and like I said, when I'm on the pitch I try and help and do as much as I can and give it 100 per cent. But it's about winning games and you've got to continue winning games and sometimes it's not how you do it but just getting those three points." "You can talk as much as you want in the dressing room, the main thing is doing it on the pitch for us players and taking responsibility when we're out there. Obviously, everyone's doing as well as they can but we need to start picking up results." i2-prod.bristolpost.co.uk/incoming/article9652129.ece/ALTERNATES/s1176b/0_PPAUK_Burto_Albion_v_Bristol_Rovers_051024_GW_068-1.jpg

Taylor to me gives off the wrong feeling. And a win tonight won't change anything. Taylor would need to go on a long winning run,and play positive football for my opinion to change towards him given what he has offered us in the past year. We are terrible.

The 34-year- old actress separated from 35-year-old Bristol Rovers footballer Scott Sinclair after a 13-year romance, reports the Mirror. Despite co-parenting their kids, Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and Charlie, three, Helen confessed communication is not their strong suit, claiming: "I'm on block at the moment on Scott's phone". Discussing the challenges they face as ex-partners on the Life of Bryony podcast, Helen said: "No disrespect to the father of my children, you know, I've had three children with him, and I always have a lot of love for him. We're both good people, but together we were very toxic. I mean, I'm on block at the moment on Scott's phone. I really am. I'm on block." She continued sharing insights into their complex dynamic, adding: "We do each other's f***g head in. But I know he always will have a love for me, you know, you always have kind of a respect for each other, I know he's not a bad guy, we've just got our own s**t going on." Reflecting on their relationship which started when both were only 19, Helen said they had both worked on their growth as individuals. She said: "I think because we're together from so young, we were just 19, and I just don't think we had that time to grow, until we've split up, we just didn't work."
