I don't think that matters. As I read it they have expanded the share capital by lowering the nominal value and issuing a new tranch of shares at the new lower value which allows a new investor to buy into that new capacity. It's not clear that they have done this as a "Rights Issue" which legally I think they have to. I wonder if the SC will take up their "rights" Stop laughing at the back I have been properly corrected on the "Rights Issue" question. Of these are Dwane Sports shares which are 100% owned by the family. Duh... sorry Oldie, anything to add please, about being told of interested party/s at the Mem being introduced as the new owner/s? Any chance your source has now learnt more? Oh and purely a joke or did you hint this person/s are from Bradford?

So,is this good news or at least potentially good news please? If they really are Kuwait investors you have to assume it's good news as you can't imagine they'll want to get involved unless they can see some potential in a L1 outfit, didn't DM, the Posh owner, suggest that we were spending more than we usually do this summer? I did'nt hear about DM commenting about Rovers spending more than usual Topper, but it's interesting to hear. Kuwaiti investors does sound exciting. Thanks.

Perhaps they are behind the South Stand development as it always seemed odd Wael suddenly taking out a loan, after not spending a single penny on the ground previously. The Kuwait owner at Nottingham Forest has spent £m's bank rolling them. I wonder what JB makes of it all!!

In the scenario this possible financial boost for Rovers,is our 'lottery winning ticket',then I reckon Joe may fancy staying and taking us to the top division. Why not.

I just sense he likes being totally in control, I wonder if wealthy investors will allow that?

My guess would be new investors would listen to Wael and Joe.In the main Joe would remain very much the Boss. The money people would give him a budget. I would'nt see any reason to rock the boat as JB is doing a very good job.

After seeing the state of the Mem on Saturday they'll probably want Wael as far away from decision making as possible!

What is the significance that this is about Dwayne not Rovers in terms of the limited companies?

Why would anyone invest in a league one club to be fair, one that reports losses of £3m per annum at that, it makes no sense at all. Do they honestly think that they can get us in the prem where it might actually make money. Foreign investors washing their dirty money through our country, like the amount of property that's owned by foreign investors sitting empty whilst we have a housing crisis. Why are we so quick to accept dirty foreign money in this country. Time we made illegal for any foreigners to own property in this country.

Very interesting times. Though a lot more detail about the potential new owner required. Middle eastern investor buys BRFC on the back of potential new stadium build. We've been here before haven't we? Could I just say "due diligence"? Anyway - it could be very good news indeed. Fair play to oldie for breaking the news...

There must be something in this. The club dispite what some will tell you has come on leaps and bounds since Wael has owned us.We are far more professional in everyway, and his hard work along with the size of our fanbase and potential due to our city size makes us very attractive club to invest in.I think Wael has proven that he loves and cares for our club and would not just get anyone investment in unless they are the real deal. This makes the Fruit market much more likely and our push to the championship over the next year or two much more likely also.

I wonder what Hussain Al Saeed will make of Barton. 1. Don't rock the boat initially, keep things in place. 2. Take a very large broom to everything. In the latter scenario - Barton and his entourage leaves, supporters will welcome the ownership. A united fan base? (I accept it's a minority who have an aversion to Barton, but a fully united fan base can only be a good thing). I would imagine it would only be a very very small minority who would take offence to a totally new management set up. Basel.

Hes not a new owner, hes an investor or at least thats how the article reads. The post have gotten it wrong by saying hes buying a controlling 55% stake. It could be a significant share but for Wael to remain President he will have to have the controlling stake of at least 51% and his brother will retain a small % giving the AlQadi's still significant or majority control. Edit: So if Wael had 90% and he wants a controlling share then he would have to retain 48%, Samer 4.5% and Al-Saeed 43.5% to have overall control. Thats assuming Al-Saeed is coming in with that much to begin with.
