Just wanted to take time out to congratulate a product of our youth system, as Alefe Santos came on as sub on 70 mins for Derby County, that may have been his competitive debut.
A credit to the young man and all the staff that he is where he is, and I think its great a young player has gone on to better himself with our help.
Good on him, hope he remembers the club fondly for helping him get his chance in a bigger pond.

He's scored 2 in 2 for their development team as well. One of them past Matt Macey.
Well done Alefe!

Well done Alefe.....
But to honest he was god awful for us, the worst player I've ever seen in the quarters. I can accept that he was thrown in at a difficult time, but he was shocking. Kept falling over instead of crossing.

He watched our last home game against AFC Telford Kudos Alfe. A lesson to a few of our young rascals, if you want to fly you'll need some application to go with that talent.

Kept falling over instead of crossing. Can't agree with that at all. Beauty of opinions I guess. P.S worst player in the quarters? It would have to take something special to beat Moussa Dagnogo, Justin Richards and Ansah Owusu! (If you saw them of course!)

Kept falling over instead of crossing. Our best cross of the season was the one he put right O' Toole head in the last quarter of an hour against Mansfield. Should have made him a hero but O' Toole ensured he wouldnt be, however, I think Alefe is one of the potentially most talented players we have had for a while.

Oh come on people do you really think he performed well for us?
Wow he put in one good cross in 20 games, the majority or the time he was falling on his arse being knocked over by the wind. I accept he may do better at a higher level where it is less physical, but show me one league game where he destroyed the opposition.
It's amazing how fans see things different, everyone I stand with can't believe he made it to league 2 level let alone Championship!

Santos is some talent, wherever he was crossing from he'd always find the Blackthorn End roof. Even if it was an away game.

Perhaps he's benefitted from a change of clubs and atmosphere, plus the improved coaching and facilities at his new club. There's nothing quite like a fresh start, is there? I wonder if Derby have posted off the cheque yet.

Chesterfield at home last season is the one that sticks out for me. Humphreys didn't know what to do with him.

Hugely frustrating to watch. Not up to the physical aspect of the league and thought he could get a decision from the ref for doing cartwheels on his arse like Mark Overmars or Emmanuelle Petit when the defender put in any sort of challenge.

Alvin Bubb, Jefferson Louis, blimey I could probably name 500 worse than Alf. I just go by the chairman of the PFA who after getting done by him several times, called him the best prospect he'd seen in many years. And 2 goals in 2 u21 games and a debut for a Championship club (albeit in the cup) tells you everything you need to know about this lad so far, and it's up to him whether he'll keep it up as the above poster was right, the pressure got to him in the last few weeks of the season (hardly a surprise given our youngsters have feck all football in between odd bench siting for first team)

Humphreys didn't know what to do with him. correct, chairman of PFA called him best prospect he'd seen in years, but he must be wrong I guess, as are the Derby staff who signed him. Stupid sods hardly 2000 professional games between them. on Nailsea Marks post, blimey fella did you never see Alvin Bubb or Jefferson Louis - I'd reckon I could think of 500 worse players since 1972 given the time. Sure he let pressure get to him in last few games, but hardly a surprise given a. he was young b. we were shocking c. youngsters get hardly any competitive games when not bench warming for first team. I remember people telling me Josh Low was worst player ever seen in quarters, another youngster, who later went on to a few 6 figure transfers, and quite a few goals at higher levels.

Kept falling over instead of crossing. Mark Regan. A composite of Mark Wright and Carl Regan? Yes, but especially Wright for total lack of commitment. Anyone see him in the 2:0 defeat at Tranmere? Shocking.

A good tidy winger.Good first touch, some brains, can pass and cross the ball without beating a defender for pace.
Shame he couldn't win enough shoulder to shoulders against 15 stone left backs,so obviously 'not good enough' for Rovers.
