It is a 'code', not laws. As I said, just read the breaches committed by that list of people. It's mainly trivial. We were talking about instant dismissal. Are you saying that all those on that list should have been dismissed? If you check you'll also find that under the previous Labour government many of them also breached the code of conduct. It's nothing new and certainly not an instant dismissal offense. In the military it is perfectly normal, and at times correct, to question and argue against orders. It's a myth that people just follow orders. Orders are always up for discussion, based on the circumstances obviously. Under the previous Labour Government David Blunkett resigned for conflicts of interest. There were few others that I can find. What is astonishing here is that it has become the norm under this Government, whether such breaches are large or not, and we are now so accustomed to people breaching it that it has become almost irrelevant. And it has become the norm when they do finally resign, they then get a new job quite quickly. I could give you Peter Mandleson. Didn't he resign twice, once for an illegal mortgage application and the second time for arranging passports for two rich Indians......and he was still appointed for a third time !!! Swings and roundabouts.

Swings and roundabouts. That's two then Nobby. You still haven't addressed the issue that this is a regular now 'acceptable' issue for the Tory Government... Also I presume you and Bas will be standing up for Gina Miller, the anti-Brexit campaigner, whose True & Fair Party are having their account closed by Monzo. Although haven't seen the Telegraph, Sun, etc shouting about it. Wonder why? Of yes they are 'woke' and none of their investors are shorting Monzo ..... Oh, its a commercial decision and nine other banks have turned her down. Who does that remind you of? www.msn.com/en-gb/money/other/anti-brexit-activist-gina-miller-warns-we-don-t-have-a-functioning-democracy-after-party-s-monzo-account-shut/ar-AA1eu8aj?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=34946d05f61a4bf1962f0e88ff9895c0&ei=22Amended to note that - I see that The Mail is now reporting and Farage is saying 'I stand with Gina Miller'.... Not must choice eh Nigel?

Didn't know anything about her political party having their bank account closed. I think many that have been a victim of this corporate woke bullying have kept quiet. Now after Nigel Farage was hit but hit back a darn sight harder, people are speaking up. This is not a political issue.Whatever a persons political opinion, they are entitled to a bank account. Nigel is speaking up for all left, right and centre. Won't hurt his reputation of course.🙂

Also I am confident enough to recognise my gender, I certainly do not need a politician to tell me what it is. I respect others to do the same. Prattling on about it suggests some are insecure.

Howard Davies won't last much longer. A bitter Remainer can't be trusted.

Howard Davies won't last much longer. A bitter Remainer can't be trusted. Ummm... "NatWest has announced a boom in profits which have risen to £3.589bn, up from £2.62bn in the same period a year ago." And "The banking group also announced an interim dividend of 5.5p per share on Thursday (28 July) which will return around £492m to shareholders. As the UK government owns 38.53% of NatWest this means £190m will go to the government on 15 September." I bet shareholders are delighted and it's understandable why they wanted to keep the CEO that delivered those results. Still, we have to suffer populist ranting of people who have not the slightest idea what they are talking about.

Davies was a big fan of Rose, even after she 'resigned'.He gave his blessing to her dirty deeds. Therefore he has to go. Goodness knows how independent the enquiry into this will be.So many sad and bitter Remainers about ( as your posts testify ) and those that have gone woke and use it not for inclusivity, but to bully and shut up those that have differing opinions.Disgusting.

If any of that was written in English and then made any coherent sense it might draw a response. But it is not and it does not.

Exactly Basel, you make some good points. I notice that vile creature Tony Blair was at it again this week, saying that we should/will rejoin the EU, of course thats what he wants as he would like to be EU head honcho,no chance of that I should think that Macron must be in the frame for that job once he's wrecked France and Le Pen's been voted in.

Seriously Terry, just read through the so-called list of Breaches. Is there a single one that warrants instant dismissal? If you are going to put up these links then please explain why each person listed there should have been sacked. Robert Jenrick leaves ministerial bag on train seat as he goes for a pee. Still, it was only a few minutes and it's only official government business, so what if it breaches the ministerial code, no one really cares eh. No one is going to take a ministerial bag are they.....

Rish! Rich The Ministerial Code states that - “Non-scheduled flights may be authorised when a scheduled service is not available, or when it is essential to travel by air, but the requirements of official or parliamentary business or security considerations preclude the journey being made by a scheduled service.” He flew to Aberdeen today to make a policy in a private jet - £50k per trip. BA alone has up to 6 flights per day from London Heathrow to Aberdeen.
But then the PM administers the code so like Johnson he won't be reporting himself and what is £50k to the British taxpayer?

Establishment figure,Sir Howard Davies has refused to resign and has launched an 'independent' inquiry.
Not surprisingly this inquiry will be anything but independent.
It's being made by the Travis Smith firm, led by a bloke that described Brexit as "racist, xenophobic and nostalgic ".
Much the same words the Coutts document described Nigel Farage as.
A woke wash.
Apparently 1000 accounts are being closed a day in the UK.
For the Emily Maitlis fans amongst us,see,it was'nt only one closure, it was'nt only Nigel Farage.
The scandal continues.

Meanwhile, back at a dilapidated school in Stockton on Tees, or a food bank near Burnley, or everywhere in the UK with people struggling to pay their bills, life goes on. All the while Brexit supporting nutters prattle on about Farage's banking conditions, who has a penis or not and dead Parrots. Anything but what is really happening to our country.
