Absolutely disgusting.
Churches will never lose their reputation of protecting their own if they act like this.
How can these people try to claim any moral high ground when they refuse to open up to their past.
As a Christian it is one of the things that infuriates me about so called Christian church leaders.
Whether their refusal to acknowledge past failings, constant attacks on LGBTQ+ communities, their support of far right policies, their abject racism or support of anti-immigrant/refugee policies, etc they fail to follow the teachings of Christ.
In fact they seem to endorse policies that are poles apart from Christian roots and philosophies.
Abject hypocrisy. As Jesus called them - a brood of vipers!
