www.theguardian.com/politics/2023/jun/01/brexit-historic-economic-error-larry-summers-former-us-treasury-secretary?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other"Brexit will be remembered as a “historic economic error”, which damaged the UK economy and has helped to drive inflation higher, according to the former US treasury secretary Larry Summers. Singling out Britain’s departure from the EU as a factor for higher costs, Summers also criticised the UK’s economic policy as “substantially flawed for some years”. "Brexit reduced the competitiveness of the UK economy, put downwards pressure on the pound and upwards pressure on prices, limited imports of goods and limited in some ways the supply of labour,” Can we prosecute the perpetrators?🤔🤔🤔

I heard the interview with Larry Summers on Radio 4 and it was very damning. Brexit was a self inflicted wound that will detrimentally impact the UK for decades to come from a trading, employment and economic perspective. He also condemned the economic strategies chosen and their damaging impact adopted especially by the likes of Truss. This from a man who has nothing to gain from his comments. It's almost as if the instigators are economically inept or have set out on a strategy that benefits certain members of society at the expense of the future of the whole UK.

But the sheep still follow.

But the sheep still follow. The Mrs actually dared to ask something about politics and why football seemed to be very much a place where extreme views were held, both here and in Poland. I found myself in a position where i could not give a truly satisfactory reply. Goes back to when i first started going, that much i do know as i remember the NF recruiters being around, a lot of the time
