Who actually owns the club - and what do they actually own?
In particular - who owns the land, and is this protected in any way?

1883 Ltd owns the Memorial Stadium. As I recall, it's a separate entity from BRFC but with the same directors.

Bristol Rovers FC have 100% of the shares in The Memorial Stadium Company No they do not. BRFC 1883 ltd own both the stadium and the football club. The share holders of BRFC 1883 ltd are by a large majority the board of directors and by owning over 50% of the shares Nick Higgs can claim to own the club under the current set up of the company.

Is there a Company named BRFC 1883 Ltd? Not according to Companies House. The Memorial Stadium Company own the ground and the football club hold 100% of the shares in The Memorial Stadium Company

I have read on occasions about how it's one person one vote around the boardroom table but surely that can't be the reality with NH owning 50%?
I didn't realise that NH's share had gone up to 50% whose shares did he buy to increase his holding to that level?

That company owns Bristol Rovers FC which is a wholly owned subsidiary and no shares are issued in its name. The Memorial Stadium Company is dormant and has been for quite a long time now.

I didn't realise that NH's share had gone up to 50% whose shares did he buy to increase his holding to that level? He purchased unissued shares. I believe it is one man one vote but in my experience that only holds true as long as the majority shareholders get their way.
