And some claim he is intelligent 😜
Openly admitting the recent voter ID regulations were in fact an attempt at Gerrymandering
He should stick to his previous job as Minister for Brexit Opportunities (stop laughing at the back)
Has he found any yet?🤫🤣🤣🤣
Quote
"Parties that try and gerrymander end up finding their clever scheme comes back to bite them, as dare I say we found by insisting on voter ID for elections.
“We found the people who didn’t have ID were elderly and they by and large voted Conservative.
The former Tory cabinet minister added: “So we made it hard for our own voters and we upset a system that worked perfectly well.”
No sh*t Shylock.

Hang on, wasn't he a Minister who backed these changes at the time. Now realising an attempt to make it harder for young and working class people to vote, traditionally Labour, has backfired on the Tories, in spite of all the restrictions they put on it!! You couldn't make this up....

Why don't you look at it this way. One of the main things we lack from politician's from ALL parties is honesty. At least he is being honest and admitting the mistake. We could do with more of that in British politics.......instead of calling him a w×××er.

So being honest about passing laws which he now admits was an attempt at Gerrymandering demands our respect for "honesty" Nah, I think not. I always thought he was a w*nker, I said it on here a few times. Now we know he supports corrupting our democracy.

Rees Smugg and Johnson once again attacking the democratic processes of Parliament in calling the due process a witch hunt. And now Johnson being appointed to a job with the Daily Hate Mail without going through the correct process of notifying Acoba, after having falsely attacked Sue Grey for not doing the same - she was totally vindicated by Acoba. His attack on the institutions, protocols and procedures of Parliament continues unabated while his acolytes like Rees Smugg defend him. That is an attack on our established democracy - so much like Trump's playbook.

In yesterday's debate on Johnson Rees Smugg pontificated and made out the report was flawed, that elements were incorrect, and generally waffled the Chamber till they were almost comatose.
Most notable he attacked the Chair of the Committee, Harriett Harman, that she hadn't stepped aside after some unfavourable 'tweets' were shown to her at the time of her appointment and then he disparaged the committee [with a Tory majority on it] in general. HH showed him for the stupid twonk he is by responding she had offered to stand aside and the House of Commons had noted it was content for her to continue. JRM had said nothing at the time. He couldn't even bring himself to apologise for his error.
After all that he then hypocritically didn't even bother to vote. Defender of democracy my ****. Like all the other cowards who failed to vote and defend Parliamentary democracy because they were too scared of Johnson's attack dogs.

Are you and Terry aware of what is actually going on, both here and in the US? Democracy is being destroyed on both sides of the Atlantic.

Johnson's response to the report was Trumpian to perfection. Deflect, blame others, insult. To your broader point, why shouldn't we talk about Trump? At worse he has a 50/50 chance of becoming President again. At the same time our conservatives in Parliament acted the same way as Republicans in the USA, abstaining in the vote, scared of the reactions of their constituents who are still stupid enough to believe in the great lie.

Both Johnson and Trump ignore the protocols, conventions, rules and regulations existing in our democracies. Johnson especially realised that many of the rules could be broken with impunity, like proroguing Parliament, and Sunak is doing the same by using Parliamentary rules so that legislation is passed without debate or the ability to change. Soon Ministers will be able to pass legislation without the requirement of Parliament. When their own appointees don't give the decisions they want both Trump and Johnson then attacked the institutions and the personnel they put in place. That puts doubt in the minds of ordinary people about the democratic process. Johnson has encouraged his attack dogs to make it known they will move against MPs who voted against Johnson in their reselection. Even if they can't do anything it had the desired effect in the vote with most Tories apart from the brave ones abstaining. Rees Smugg whinged and moaned and then couldn't be bothered to vote. They care nothing about democracy only what they can make out of it. And we know how Trump encouraged the masses against the Capitol. Trump cares about Trump. And Johnson, a proven liar and manipulator throughout his life, cares only about Johnson as Rees Smugg will find out. He betrays everyone eventually.
