Says anyone viewing things from a neutral viewpoint......and you ! I laughed at the term "neutral" Well, I have no vote in the US election. Myself and others on this forum have stated that we think both Biden and Trump are useless and neither is fit to be POTUS.

Sadly, you may well be right. But given the stark choice would you vote for an aging, ranting, nut job facing multiple indictments and who surrounds himself with idiotic self serving yes men/women Or An aging man struggling with speed of speech delivery who surrounds himself with educated professionals and has delivered the country a degree of stability post Trump and Pandemic. I know where I would go

No such things as a neutral in the new paradigm nobby. You're either a 'right on' woke with extreme left wing views, a-frothing at the mouth with indignation about Trump, Brexit, Palestine and the British Empire, or A Fascist. No room for the middle ground, or balance. Sad really.

I know where I would go A vote for Biden will be a vote for whoever the VP is. Biden will step down pretty sharpish if he is re-elected as it is obvious to everyone that he is struggling both physically and mentally. We are facing the same problem in the UK. The Tory Party have proven they are unfit to govern. Labour will also be shown to be unfit to govern. However, in the UK we do not face a stark choice between those two particular failures. We do have other options.

It doesn't help that when someone tries to talk in a sensible manner about 'issues' they are shouted down and cancelled. Look at JK Rowling! Everything she has said is sensible, yet she has received so much hate and bile it's extraordinary. This was totally evident after the Brexit vote, when apparently, if you voted for Brexit you were *old/xenaphobic/facist/Little Englander/Tory/Stupid/Easily Led by lies/uneducated/racist (*delete where applicable). The venom cast at those who voted for Brexit was once again overwhelming.

As some on here predicted, this case was going nowhere, despite the cheering from the other side....just more ammo, supplied by the Democrats, for Trump to use.
"The US Supreme Court has swatted away the State of Colorado’s attempt to strip Donald Trump from the presidential ballot. Despite fevered efforts to pin the 6th January 2021 storming of the Capitol on the former President, the Supreme Court has rejected the claim that Trump can be excluded as an “insurrectionist” under section 3 of the 14th Amendment. The Colorado Supreme Court’s attempts to suppress the likely opposition candidate have been roundly rejected.
In the view of the Supreme Court, “States may disqualify persons holding or attempting to hold state office. But States have no power under the Constitution to enforce Section 3 with respect to federal offices, especially the Presidency”."
Oh, and the Supreme Court voted 9-0 to vote this out of court. It begs the question, is this electoral interference by the Democrats? Was this case politically motivated?

It begs the question, is this electoral interference by the Democrats? Was this case politically motivated? I listened to both the lawyer who led the Colorado case against Trump and a Republican Party strategist discussing this. Both agreed that this was the expected outcome, both agreed that it was almost impossible for the Supreme Court to allow the Colorado decision to stand without an actual conviction. But what was interesting in the judgement was that the Supreme Court did NOT say he wasn't guilty, they said that the Colorado court didn't have the right to block Trump. The adjudication was that in the current circumstances that only Congress along with the Senate could block Trump. Which sets an interesting position for a democrat narrative

Meanwhile As normal people try to fight off the rank stupidity of the nationalists, In tonight's Bloomberg "Companies across America are scrambling for workers, making the same appeal they’ve made for years: admit more immigrants to ease a severe labor shortage and fill jobs Americans don’t want. Indeed, immigration may be one of the key reasons the US avoided a recession as it emerged from the pandemic. As migrants poured over the southern border during Covid’s upheaval, the influx may have been a potential solution to a shortage that, by the end of this decade, could lead to $1.75 trillion in unrealized economic output. All of a sudden, big cities were filled with people eager to work and start building their own version of the American dream." Then "But their pleas aren’t being heeded in Washington, where lawmakers are scrambling instead to respond to inflamed anti-immigrant sentiment." Indeed, tell us about it. Bloomberg should read some of the stuff on this forum www.bloomberg.com/news/newsletters/2024-03-05/bloomberg-evening-briefing-us-companies-want-more-immigrants

Haley takes Vermont ! Listening to Radio 4 she might be encouraged to run as an independent, but this would damage Biden the most because people who would never vote for Trump but dont really rate Biden could vote for Haley instead....

Where is that? Stockton on Tees? San Francisco.....type in any American city and you get the same pictures. I don't need the pictures, witnessed it first hand. It's a classic example when civil society breaks down and local government is powerless and skint. Oh, hang on. Whilst we think about that, a classic Trumpian loony looses it when questioned and starts talking about Israeli, sorry, JEWISH Space Lasers...yes really Apparently they have a faith and a race 😂😂😂 x.com/doctor_oxford/status/1765320591299563700?s=20
