Maybe maybe 10 years ago, we have had a lot of tote enders pass and we have rarely had a real sell out, due to the space change and safety advisory stuff. I do think we could do 12-13 though but, with Rovers, it is keeping them coming. Unlike the 82, we do not have their numbers. Realistically we really are miles behind them. Would take, in my opinion, huge investment and clever marketing to have regular large crowds. The 82 average 20.8k even when crap. Bas, love your heart mate but we are nothing like what we were and, even then, we were the smaller club. A 20,000 capacity Rovers stadium. 5000 Villa supporters. 9032 Gas to equal 74 season. 9033 to beat it. I reckon 15000 + very possible. Edit. Apparently our average this season is 8792. I agree, IF Rovers were 2nd tier 10,000 or 11,000 for big opponents is possible, then add 5000 (or more) away fans, whether this is a good business case to build a 20,000 stadium though ?

I assume (I don't actually know) that's good business when taking in cost of new stadium etc. Other FCs would buy 5000 tickets. Then pop concerts etc..

Sorry but i will i know i already seen as unpopular but we’re could not get that number, the police would not allow that many away fans in anycase plus football was much cheaper in the old times. We now, carefully manage our attendances to make them look falsely high due to TM and availability. When was out last true sellout `Bas, before cashless and the SAGA crap. Before scaring people they won’t bet a spot ? It’s a long time and it has not been 12k

I hope for a 25,000 capacity.

And the 82 in a crap season ? I hope for a 25,000 capacity. Why ? it would be half empty most of the time.

I hope for a 25,000 capacity. Why ? it would be half empty most of the time. The very big games could see 20k plus. Eg,'Quid a kid' etc could go ballistic. All the other stuff the stadium could be used for bringing in much cash. Eastville was fine with 8000 in it and a 48,000 capacity St Jakobs Park,FC Basel was fine with 18,000 in it. It's up to fans to create atmosphere. Maybe Bristol Rovers could grow into the stadium.
