I said many times towards the end of the season to various gasheads how bad it would be to see us possibly playing FGR in the future. I had seen Rovers play Reserve games there and also pre season friendlies at their old ground. Now as we all know we travel to Nailsworth later for a league game at their new Lawn. Still hard to take and even more so after I bought my tickets some weeks ago before our opening game when we were anticipating a solid start. We now travel to FGR with them unbeaten and Rovers struggling to come to terms with the league with a whole new group of players. Despite a fantastic following today I must admit I am not exactly expecting three points ...a reflection of our poor away record....I sincerely hope all fans act responsibly as Nailsworth is not a hot bed of football and what with it being on live TV we know we have to be respectful to our local hosts. Enjoy the game

I certainly echo your call for our fans to behave responsibly before, during and after the game whatever the result. A good opportunity to show the TV football audience how good our support is. I'm sure the old bill will be planning ahead in case some of our numpties start misbehaving.

I'm hoping things don't turn nasty but fear they might.
We really need a performance today, no more excuses, get out there and deliver for once.

Our fans today could finally sink to the same National depths as the South Bristol cousins.... Poor performance tonight and I suspect a real problem.

Unless they like fighting with Pensioners or kids i can't see how trouble could errupt. More likely to be fighting amongst yoursleves for the last of the dozwn car parking spaces available.

Have I missed something here guys? Why is everyone getting out the rosary beads praying we don't lose so our fans will go smashing the town up? Apart from the Mansfield game you name me another game involving gas fans where they bought shame on our club??? (And don't say against City, we know it was started by the sheeds, both inside and outside the ground, despite how it was reported)

This culture IMO is currently in the main being controlled well by police intelligence but it is still a deep rooted culture who's followers have either been given banning orders, got old and or grown out of the scene or who target particular games during the season. Given all this its a mystery why the OP thinks that the village of Nailsworth could become a battle field.

I didn't see a minutes trouble at FGR today. I thought all the fans (of both clubs) behaved well.
It did seem a bit strange being in the majority at an away game though.

I don't think we did at Derby.
Fulham though, I believe , as reported in some papers, was the first time a prem team had been outnumbered at home.

Well we've been complimented by the car park attendant for our friendly behaviour so that's good, well done everyone

Friendly club who made us all very welcome. Seems incongruous that they have employed so many thugs on the pitch!

I was in the FGR stand today - I hope those in charge of our catering took note of the great food available in the Emburey Suite!!!
The tea & coffee stand had a fine array of cakes!!! The bar sold some decent beer and the pizza & chips were great!

The bar sold some decent beer and the pizza & chips were great! Lucky you. The rest of us plebs on the terraces didn't fare so well. Arriving 90 minutes before kick off, I immediately joined the queue for the famous FGR meat free nosh and was still queueing at kick-off time. Eventually got a veggie burger, which tasted like charred sawdust. I'll (metaphorically) swing for the next visitor to this site who says how good the food is at their ground. By the way. Any team's fans that sings "Bristol City laugh at you" deserve less respect IMO.
