Steve Book.
It say in stats he never played, but wasn't he a sub, or played a match becoming our oldest keeper once at the Mem? Maybe one match we were short of Keepers circa 2007/08...?

Steve Book played in a 1-2 home defeat v Notts County on 11th March 2006.
Also on the list should be Allen Clarke, who played in a 3-2 win at Notts County on 25th September 1971. He was on loan from Charlton Athletic, and 10 days later played against Rovers in a League Cup 3rd Round game at Eastville, which Rovers won 2-1.

Steve Book, Allen Clarke and Alexis Andre all added.
We have also only had 16 goalkeepers to have played 100+ games for BRFC.

Wasn’t that under Big Mal ? Nope... under BG. The manager, not charlatan. Bobby Gould 1986. A man who i think played a big part in keeping the club alive and will always have my utmost respect. Got players on the old YTS scheme and knew how to work on a really low budget. A great shame so many seem to dislike him

Malcolm Dalrymple...Maybe just one game..a bit of a mare If I remember v Oldham early 70s? A few quotes from this forum way back... Feb 4, 2016 at 3:22pm jets4 said: He was in goal v Oldham At (at Eastville) when we were 3-0 up at half time and drew 3-3! I seem to remember a very poor goal kick lead to their second with about 5 minutes left, and they then promptly got the equaliser. I went with my friend who had never been to a game before, and he was really pleased because he had seen six goals. Feb 4, 2016 at 6:18pm harrybuckle said: This may help ....he is in Lancashire and he was Rovers’ keeper in the demoralising 1-0 defeat at Hayes on a grey Saturday afternoon in November 1972. A blight on my youth it was I saw the defeat at Hayes as well who included the future Reading & Cardiff City cult hero....Robin Friday ...plenty of Chelsea fans at the game too the days of loads of football hooligans as well. Sheppard had been injured the match before and Malcolm stepped in and found it difficult to be honest. I was still, just about 11 and remember the two city fans giving me stick and a fight ensued, a day i will not forget. Remember my dad saying it was a potential chance for embarrassment, pre match. Not like we put a weak team out that day

Chris Short I went to Vincent Thompson Secondary Modern School in Exeter with Richard Crabtree he living in Thormpark Rise and myself in George's Close, Whipton. I joined the RAF in Jan 1971 and my first posting in Jan 1972 was after training was to RAF Colerne near Bath. Took the opportunity to travel to Bristol Rovers to watch my old schoomate. However, I think he had a bad night as I think I am right in saying that Rovers lost 7-0. Notwithstanding that it was great to see him in action !!! grecianarchive.exeter.ac.uk/files/fullsize/8ff341fde1aa1b41d26c12e7a8318db9.jpg

If it's not been mentioned already - Tom Stanton took over in goal when Dick Sheppard fractured his skull v Tranmere Rovers.

Ray Johnston, one game I believe. A former England schoolboy international, Johnston could only manage to appear in one league game with The Pirates, a 4–3 victory against Macclesfield Town in 1999. Added

Fabian Spiess. A couple of games in the conference season but managed to punch it into his own net twice.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned England coach Martyn Margetson?
