Hello everyone.
Today I took the very difficult decision to advise you all that at the end of the 2022-2023 season, I will be standing down as the facilitator for the Predictions League.
I have been doing this labour of love since the 2011-2012 Season and have thoroughly enjoyed it. It started as a way for someone living in Australia to become more involved with Bristol Rovers. It turned into way more than that. Getting to know many of the participants over the internet, and latterly since my arrival back home in Bristol, meeting up with many of you in person.
Whilst I still enjoy the physical process of manipulating the spreadsheets each and every week, actually motivating myself to start the process is becoming more and more difficult due to other time constraints. You will all have seen that this season with the delays in posting fixtures and results.
Should anyone wish to take over the role of facilitating the Prediction League for next season. I am only too happy to provide the spreadsheets and a user's guide to the process involved in their use. Today it took me approximately an hour to process the Christmas Cup results and draw, the weekly results, the weekly draw and the table.
I would like to thank you all for your support over the years. You have all made doing this for you a pleasure and privilege. I would like to give a separate and heartfelt thanks to the following for making my time in the UK and with Rovers, exceptional:
Croscombegas
Misspiggy
Past Pirate.
Oxongas
Dido.
Thank you all once again.
