Captain Sarah Hunter scored the Red Roses' opener on the day the 37-year-old became the most-capped England and women's international with 138. All seven of England's tries came from forwards in the wet weather and flanker Marlie Packer completed a hat-trick. Emily Chancellor scored Australia's only try in the first half. Abbie Ward, Amy Cokayne and Alex Matthews all crossed too as England extended their record winning run to 29 Tests in a row. The Red Roses last won the World Cup in 2014 and will face Canada in Saturday's semi-final, with a potential final against New Zealand or France to come. ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/05A2/production/_127424410_gettyimages-1437589754.jpgConditions were challenging with players splashing through surface water ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/1614A/production/_127424409_gettyimages-1437592481.jpgMarlie Packer scored two of England's three tries in a tough first half ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/18152/production/_127424689_gettyimages-1437599557.jpgAmy Cokayne scored England's fifth try ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/16E2E/production/_127424739_gettyimages-1437596180.jpgEngland full-back Helena Rowland slides after being tackled by Bienne Terita of Australia Line-ups England: Hunter (capt) Rowland; Thompson, Scarratt, Heard, Dow; Harrison, Infante; Cornborough, Cokayne, Bern, Aldcroft, Ward, Matthews, M Packer. Saturday 5 November – Semi-finals
Semi-final 1 - Canada 19-26 England - (Eden Park, Auckland)England will face hosts and holders New Zealand in the World Cup final next Saturday after showing grit to hold off a determined Canada at Eden Park. The Red Roses were presented their sternest challenge this year as amateur side Canada defied expectations. But professionals England stood up to the test, with Abby Dow scoring a stunning try and three Emily Scarratt penalties enough to seal the win. New Zealand beat France 25-24 in a thrilling second semi-final. France fly-half Caroline Drouin missed a penalty that would have won the game in the 80th minute and the Black Ferns closed it out in front of a jubilant home crowd. The Red Roses extended their winning record to 30 in a row with the semi-final victory and on 12 November will be seeking a first world title since 2014 against the side that stole the crown from them in 2017. ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/4D28/production/_127525791_gettyimages-1439088683.jpgAbby Dow showed strength and tenacity to score her first try ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/11CF8/production/_127525927_gettyimages-1439093218-1.jpgAlysha Corrigan's try stunned England and gave Canada confidence ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/E968/production/_127525795_gettyimages-1439106172.jpgAbby Dow scored one of the tries of the tournament ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/03B8/production/_127525900_gettyimages-1439101969-1.jpgTyson Beukeboom's try helped Canada reduce England's lead to four points ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/3680/production/_127525931_gettyimages-1439107588.jpgCaptain Sarah Hunter will be hoping to lift the World Cup next Saturday ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/D2C0/production/_127525935_gettyimages-1439106900.jpgEngland second row Zoe Aldcroft was named player of the match Line-ups

Women's Rugby Union World Cup 2021 (Being played in 2022) - New Zealand 8th October - 12th November.
Saturday 12 November – FinalNew Zealand 34-31 England - Eden Park, Auckland England's winning streak came to an end in the most important game of all as New Zealand won the World Cup for a sixth time on a historic night for women's rugby at Eden Park. In what has to be one of the most dramatic World Cup finals of all time, the Red Roses went down to 14 players when Lydia Thompson was shown a red card in the 18th minute and led for most of the game. England had lost four previous finals to New Zealand and their hearts were broken once again as Ayesha Leti-I'iga's try regained a three-point lead for the hosts with nine minutes remaining. The Red Roses had a chance at victory with one last line-out - their most potent weapon all tournament - with the clock in the red but lost their throw to the delight of a ferocious record crowd for a women's game of 42,579. Delight on the face of New Zealand's players and fans alike was in sharp contrast to the England players, who stood tearfully with heads in hands as they reflected on the fact that their record 30-Test winning streak had ended when it mattered most. ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/17F5D/production/_127614189_kildunne_getty.jpgKildunne, playing at full-back in place of the injured Helena Rowland, skipped in for the opening try after just three minutes ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/1313D/production/_127614187_eng_medals.jpgEngland have finished as runners-up in six women's Rugby World Cup finals Referee: Hollie Davidson (Sco)

Wheelchair Rugby League World Cup 2021, Being played in England November 2022.
Final - Friday 18th November 2022England 28 France 24 - Wow what a game that was, end to end and very nail-biting stuff. England captain Tom Halliwell scored a late try to lead his side to a famous Wheelchair Rugby League World Cup final victory over France. The 23-year-old Leeds Rhinos player, voted player of the match, crashed over with less than three minutes left. It was his second try of the game and sealed a famous win before a crowd of 4,526, a world record for the sport. Although Nathan Collins missed the conversion, it was enough to make up for defeats in the past two finals. England head coach Tom Coyd told BBC Sport: "I was crying like a baby. I don't know what to say. We knew we were going to win that game by two or four points. We said that the whole time. "I'm just so proud of the guys and this crowd, and everyone for getting behind wheelchair rugby league and England rugby league. We just deserve it." Coyd's side battled back from 14-6 down in the first half to lead 22-14 after 55 minutes. In a feisty game, the French arguably had the better of the refereeing calls in the second half and the kicking of Nico Clausells, who broke English hearts five years ago with his late match-winning try, helped keep them in it. ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/480/cpsprodpb/15111/production/_127698268_coyd_halliwell1_getty.jpgichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/480/cpsprodpb/6A99/production/_127698272_halliwell_winner1_getty.jpg

Women's 2021 Rugby League World Cup final - Venue: Old Trafford, Manchester Date: Saturday, 19th November.
Australia 54-4 New Zealand
Australia produced a superb display to thrash New Zealand as they claimed a record-equalling third Women's World Cup triumph at Old Trafford.
The Jillaroos, unbeaten since 2016, have now won the last three tournaments to equal the milestone set by the Kiwi Ferns between 2000-2008.
Jessica Sergis' fifth-minute try set the tone for a one-sided affair, with Julia Robinson and Isabelle Kelly then twice crossing before the break as the defending champions established a 20-0 half-time lead.
New Zealand arrived at their sixth consecutive final with plenty of optimism, having acquitted themselves well in a slender group-stage loss to Australia.
However, they were simply swept aside on the biggest stage of all by a ruthlessly efficient Australia, inspired by Ali Brigginshaw.
The vastly experienced Brigginshaw had a hand in four of Australia's first five tries and replicated her player of the match performance from 2017 with several excellent breaks, incisive passes and a series of spiralling kicks.

Men's Rugby League World Cup 2021 (Being played in 2022) - England 15th October 2022 to 19 November 2022.
Saturday 19th November 2022Australia v Samoa - Rugby League World Cup Final - Old Trafford, Manchester - 4pm Australia 30-10 Samoa ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/0A96/production/_127701720_gettyimages-1244903191.jpgAustralia claimed a third consecutive World Cup with a hard-fought 30-10 victory over Samoa at Old Trafford. While the Pacific Islanders enjoyed the backing of the 67,502 crowd, Mal Meninga's relentless side more than lived up to their billing as overwhelming favourites. A superb defensive performance laid the foundations for the Kangaroos, who have now won the competition 12 times. "We brought our best game tonight," Meninga said. "We've had a long year but have been rewarded for effort tonight. What a way to finish our 2022 season." After repelling some early Samoa pressure, Australia took a healthy 14-0 lead into the interval with tries from Latrell Mitchell, James Tedesco and Liam Martin. And while they were temporarily reduced to 12 men when Angus Crichton was sin-binned for an infringement on Chanel Harris-Tavita, they were still able to withstand several Samoa breaks before going further ahead when Cameron Murray went over in the left corner. Brian To'o's try briefly raised hopes of a fightback from Matt Parish's team, but they were quickly snuffed out as Nathan Cleary and Cameron Munster cleverly combined to send Tedesco racing in on the angle into the left corner. Stephen Crichton, the golden point hero against England in the semi-final, ensured a respectable scoreline for Samoa in their first World Cup final with a fine interception try for the second week running. But it was not enough to prevent Australia from maintaining their stranglehold on the tournament as Mitchell went over in the closing moments to round off the scoring hours after the Jillaroos won the women's tournament for a record-equalling third time. ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/480/cpsprodpb/5096/production/_127703602_gettyimages-1442810632.jpgichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/240/cpsprodpb/13F2E/production/_127701718_gettyimages-1442790234.jpg
