Well thats the pre season optimism well and truly evaporated.
Too many poor individual performances.
We lacked any bite upfront and so many of our first touches were appalling.
Disappointing is an understatement.

Reality check for sure Forest Gump much the better team - needs strengthening particularly defensively the keeper alone can only keep the score down when it’s raining shots JB will be a busy man over the next month - Still doable UTG

Was surprised to see Westbrooke break into the team, how did he play today?. Had heard he impressed pre season.

Best team won.Green created more good chances than us.The winner was an excellent goal ,a shot imo.
Good to see Clarky looking a 3rd tier defender.
Harvey Saunders had a decent cameo.
We were poor in midfield.
Westbrooke will be loaned out imo.
Rossitter will improve.
Etc.
In a nut shell we did'nt look the attacking force of last season and were shakey at the back.
I think we'll look a different prospect by the end of the window,then that side will need to gel.Etc.
We have to be patient before our real 3rd tier credentials show.

That was so bad I actually left early for maybe the 1st this century.
Kilgore has to be better than hoole at CB.
Rossitor has to be better than that, as it was one of the worse performances I've be ever seen, if the evening post still do match ratings he should be getting 0 or 1. Westbrooke bye-bye.
Thought the rest looked ok but practically playing with 9 players.
Could have real problems at Burton as I think fgr are pretty poor and at least Burton are use to the level.

As it stands Rossitor is having the worst debut I can remember. We definitely improved after the substitutions, but Rossiter should have gone off too.
Hard to win games, when you have a midfielder putting in a performance like he did today. At least he should improve. Be hard not to.

A wake up call, Conor and Elliot won’t be back and those two were badly missed today. Westbrook is a fart that hopefully gets cannoned out of the club immediately, Rossiter was miles off the pace leaving the defence exposed and again if no improvement is seen he won’t feature very often. We showed some slick football in the opening third of the game with one exceptional move to play Marquis in just being cut out. Forest Green suddenly started causing mayhem just before half time and could have had three in that period but yet again belly made some brilliant saves along with some last ditch defending.
We started ok in the second half but it was no surprise when Forest Green scored and another move saw them score again but that one got chalked off for offside.
The introduction of Harvey completely changed the dynamic tearing around the place and sticking the lumbering defence of forest Green on the back foot allowing Collins to equalise. We should have taken the lead from there with two gilt edged chances being missed. Forest green took the lead against the run of play with what looked like a speculative cross sneaking into the far top corner and we were then ‘treated’ to the injury feigning and modern day time wasting so often seen deployed by limited teams that come for a point but steal a win.
The team we saw today would undoubtedly spend the season in the relegation zone and urgent signings must be made particularly at centre half.

Not sure we deserved to lose today. First 30 minutes was ours, as was the first 15 of the second half.
FGR played very effective counter attacking football and their second goal was pure class, especially the finish.
Apologies to Steptoe, who I assured at half time that we would win 4 nil. (Got the Scunny game right though 😁)
Onwards and upwards and we'll finish above them and Exeter. Not sure about PV though. I reckon Darrell might be up for his next push forward.
