Well, having just had a baby (or at least my wife did), I would agree that they need more baby clothes, and better quality. The one item that we received, the badge disintegrated after one 90 degree wash. So there. Try it on 40 degrees instead of a boil wash next time.......

I thought ninety degrees sounded a bit extreme too, to be honest - perhaps the fabric care instructions on the label are at fault, rather than the garment itself.
I like the idea of fan involvement in the production of the merchandise wherever possible.

BRISTOL PIRATE
Can I make one plea.
There is a whole world out there beyond Facebook, Twitter and other social media/forums.
You need to make a special effort to contact those supporters who are not on the above, I am not on Facebook or Twitter and have no wish to be.
A start could be to engage with supporters in the family enclosure to get their views. How you contact other supporters I leave up to you but a constant criticism I hear from supporters is that they are unaware of some things going on because they do not use these social media.
Best of luck in your endeavours.
get with the times Dave, Twitter is where its at Kid

Ah well its baby clothes you see - try getting sh*t stains out at anything less than 90 degrees

I was due to be on the panel but have just come back from holiday. Looking forward to getting my teeth into it.

I'm also on this panel and was pleasantly surprised at the commitment and passion expressed by the panel. Early days obviously and a plan of action will emerge. To be fair Barry Bradshaw was wiling to listen and ultimately he is a supporter of the same club as us. First priority would appear to be quality affordable products aimed at our younger fans. I have Been tasked with looking into suitable children's items for the next meeting in a month (the penalty for having a big mouth and strong opinions)
I feel a pocket money range would be a good starting point and availability on match day, rather than from the current shop that the majority of fans can't access after 1.30pm. Although I suppose they can after the match.
Some new logos were proposed for clothing which were superb and look like a goer.
Success on the pitch will motivate fans and board alike, but let's hope our small contribution will help provide what people want.

Also on this, and I think the suggestion by The Gas about sounding out people in the Family Enclosure, especially when its free for kids and busier than normal,is a good idea and one we should look at as soon as possible. As for John Kayes,I also think he would be more than useful to have on board, but he did not apply. I did mention John on Wednesday night and will push for him to be there(as long as he is willing and able) Can I ask if anyone knows any webb sites doing football merchandise, can you let us know? Thanks.

My mate just had a little boy so the new baby stuff is good. We need to see some some stickers, sounds stupid but in my work there are stickers with robins on declaring "support your local team" all over the place and as I work in North Bristol I need to put my mark on the place!

Have they met yet, if so, does anybody know what happened? I think they first met after the Tesco kit when Ron Craig went ape s**t when he saw it. Barry was quite keen on fan involvement for a couple of years.....errr then....errrr...Then he went back to leaving it to Swampy to design the merchandise if not the kit.

Some really positive feedback, which I will take on board, thanks for all your suggestions and comments. I'd be really interested in your views on the following design suggestions... I have found a site with ready made (sporting) Pirate specific t-shirt designs. Basically, we would pay a fairly small fee to use the artwork, for up to 1000 uses. We (somebody with the software and skills) would be able to edit the template artwork, so it was Rovers specific i like these designs, due in part to the symbolism of the Phoenix. Use your imagination with the design... Think 1883, Bristol Rovers etc. In a nutshell...would you buy one? Do you think these designs would sell?

They look good quality based on that picture. Don't strike me as very pirate oriented beyond the word pirates on the first shirt. Look like the Austrian or Russian Imperial eagles. However I must admit I am not really into those sort of tshirts so maybe not your target audience. This is a very good initiative and the ideas seem to be flowing.
