Well it’s that time of the year again when there is a need to call for participants in the Predictions League. As a result of their participation in the 2021-2022 League, the following are automatically included:

Should your name be on this list, but you no longer want to participate, please let me know.
People can join the Predictions League at any time during the season, but obviously, the earlier you predict, the earlier you start gaining points. Normally the winners predict at least 95% of games. Nominating early also allows me to set up the necessary spreadsheets to manage the League, before the season kicks off.
To nominate, simply add your name to this thread before the season starts, or simply predict at any stage during the year.
PREDICTION LEAGUE 2022-2023
The rules of the competition are as follows:
1. Each week there will be ten matches that need predicting, you simply need to predict the score.
2. One point will be awarded if you get the prediction (win/lose/draw) correct but get the score incorrect.
3. Two points will be awarded if you get the correct score as well as the prediction.
4. Four points will be awarded if you get either ROVERS or CITY score and prediction correct.
5. Top poster of the week will be awarded an extra point.
6. Postponed games. If the pools panel are in force their prediction will be accepted, if they are not in force game will be wiped from the week’s list.
7. Cup games, the result will be that at 90 mins (not after extra time).
8. As this is a friendly competition with no actual prize for the winner, banter is encouraged, arguments are not. Anyone who persists in arguing will be banned from the League.
8. The Administrator (RiversGas) will be the arbitrator of all disputes.
