So why do you give your well earned cash, your loyalty and you leisure time to your "club" what makes you a gashead?

can we for once and for all stop this bull about us being some of the best fans in the country, imho we are no better or no worse than most teams and i sadly include the chairs smashers from bs3, been watching the gas forty odd years and we are no different to anyone else, good bad and plenty of the ugly, human nature

Totally agree with you so if we are all the same, so what have you been supporting for 40 years?

We have endured the worst 10 years of any club in the top 5 tiers if you consider win / loss ratio yet 7000 plus turn out to watch the next batch disappoint against Grimsby seconds. The fans deserve far more credit - in fact we are the reason that our club has such profile. Not the Board, not the current squad and certainly not the trophy cabinet. Bored of reading we put too much pressure on the players etc.

my home team, thru thick and thin, mostly very thin Agree with that. We've been dealt a shocking hand for most of our recent history back in Bristol. So when nearly 2000 rock up in deepest Nailsworth on Monday to see the (almost) inevitable - I for one will remain proud to be a Gashead.

Clockend - I think we agree! Stockport and Hereford have possibly had a poorer last 5 years than us. Coventry have struggled but may be about to return home. Portsmouth have been horribly mismanaged - but have enjoyed Premiership footballl and a cup final along the way. Administration anyone.......... !!! Still think our loss ratio in the last 10 years would shame most if not all of the above yet we still go home and away in decent numbers! UTG

I don't understand your question. Did some of the question get deleted? It makes no sense to me.

What makes me a Gashead? - because your first taste of this magical game of football is walking to THAT ground with THAT smell, holding on to your Dads hand and witnessing THAT winger waltz round their fullback like he's standing still having been played in by a magician of a midfielder. - because you went as a family, discussed it as a family, learnt about the Tann era from your old man who told you tales of men in blue and white quartered shirts doing things with a football twice as heavy that sounded legendary in equipment that was archaic in comparison to what you were watching. - because you had something to share when your mates did not go but you did, relaying tales of 6-0 wins at Reading, 4-1 at Oldham, 5-0 at Oxford to people who were not there - spending all day getting there and getting back (home or away) when you have little hope of a result but getting one! - because they were my hometown club and every other kid in Wembley was supporting Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man U or Liverpool - because they could even get my mum enthusiastic about football when she was made to go! 3-0 at Rotherham and 4-2 against Wrexham at Twerton. - because every other team is not MY Rovers

I don't understand your question. Did some of the question get deleted? It makes no sense to me. It doesn't make sense. I think some of the question is missing perhaps when viewed on mobile or tablet which could explain the poor number of votes. For me it finishes 'My question is' then nothing but poll choices.
