Jake Daniels,a 17 year old Blackpool player has come out as gay.
I know,so what,but in our professional football it has obviously been a difficult ,seemingly impossible step for some.
Fair play to Jake and I hope for him and any other gay players that may care to come out,this 'news' very soon becomes no news at all.
How good at football is he?

It was a big deal back in the Justin Fashanu days of old, but these days nothing is a shock anymore and i have always been one for who cares, it's their life. Fair play to him coming out right at the beginning of his career, i can see many others doing likewise and why not ? It should now be all about if the player is good enough to play whatever sport it is they are in. |
