So last weekend Rovers score seven to get promoted, this weekend the UK are leading in Eurovision and the French give maximum points to the UK. I have definitely slipped into a parallel universe. It's obvious that now Ms Merkle has no power the European's are allowed to vote for UK đ

Good spot Jeff.         Skybet     Betfair Barton   4/5        11/8 Kompany 4/1        11/4 Wilder   6/1        5/2 Rooney   7/1        7/2 12/1 bar these.   One of the considerations is whether any interested club will accept the overall model of Barton and associates. A better bet is Ukraine to win the Eurovision this Saturday at 1/2. If I was Wael I'd put $10m on this to win $5m instantly back to then fund next season's transfer budget. Whereâs my commission Wael?

Unbelievable Jeff! I only caught the second half / ET / penalties of the FA Cup Final. Eurovision was infinitely more interesting.

I remember one Sunday afternoon a good few moonâs ago at the Polish Club in Redland, a local group belting out âWurzelâ songs in Polish, not sure if the words had a better fit tho!. I always viewed the Wurzels with suspicion due to their association with the crimson foe. Sadly and to my utter dismay, disappointment and anger, there is no longer a Polish club in Bristol. The Poles that came after they joined the EU, managed to get onto various committees , said the club was too old fashioned and then the bloody church got involved and it was sold. Of course, no one has any information as to the contents and historic memorabilia that was inside, some of it very valuable and maybe priceless. The church, all of a sudden had extra funds and now there is no place to go and meet any of those left, of the older generation. I am appalled that the assets went to the POSK club in London and that no one even asked of the original 22 famil, ies, who bought both the club and church. I am incandescent with rage at how this happened. No one was sent letters nor anything mentioned, until and dusted One of many things that happened that angered the localâs.

Do you know many from the 2nd gen Polish families and others then ? By the time i found out there was nothing that i could do, it was done in such a manner that most never knew until it was too late. Had i have known then I could have put a stop to the sale as my parents gave any least 10% of their weekly wage and so did all of the families, that paid to buy both places, should have at least been consulted or asked. I imagine there would have been legalities that meant the people who paid toward the purchase and their families should have been informed. I notice that the priest was moved on and replaced as he was a good guy and was not a hard line priest. They had him back to Poland and sent to a place for recovery from alcohol. I am deeply ashamed of what has been going on since the influx of the new families, since Poland joined the EU. i will leave it at that as i can feel the anger building within me. It really is sickening to me.

Precisely, when i found out i tried to find out what had happened and who had given permission but i was met with a wall of religious silence. We used to go to Swindon and Trowbridge Polish clubs, for dances and afternoons. Bristol is now the only one of the big cities that is without a Polish club. I have so many memories in that place that i just cannot get past it. The Polish use the word honour on many of their nationalistic emblems and on their highest medal for bravery in war but it seems it is just a word now, their is no evidence of there being any within the people. something on a similar line here ,only with the B Legion, pretty well used and popular, local guy, spinster, was a stalwart of the local FC and flag bearer at one time for the BL, no immediate family, Upon his death he bequeathed ÂŁ10,000 to the local BL!!!. yet just about 4/5 months later the local club was deemed "unprofitable" and closed down, that money he gave was just whisked away to Central office in London with no if' or buts, and when questioned by some here they were given a crap excuse of "it helped clear the current deficit"!! Yes, Many of the British legion clubs went the same way. The one in Kingswood became the K.E.S club and is more for sports than anything else. Surely something could and should have been done, in memory of those who served and who are serving. I find it very disrespectful.

I was trying to explain this last night but she was too angry to talk sense to. Her final words â i am NEVER EVER watching that 5h1t again, itâs a fixâ i had to hold back from laughing so much

I lost touch as I have been in Taiwan since 2003, but I did catch up with one of my Polish chums a few years ago who felt much as you do, in fact he got involved with various groups trying to stop the sale of assets. The first village we lived in (Bathford) had a British Legion Club, it has now been renamed The Village Club, but is still part of the British Legion. You have to be a member of the BL inorder to become a member of the Village Club, although non-members are welcome. I think the re-naming was to ensure that more people used it, which seems to have worked, as they have a lot of regular events going on there. It hasn't lost the BL identity, so I guess this is a good way to ensure that the club can keep going.

They planned for Ukraine to win all along and next year will return to 'Royaume Uni - nil points'

It was a lot more interesting than watching chelski/scousers bore draw. FA Cup. FA Interest.

I thought Michael Appleton was the shoe in although I canât for the life of me comprehend why anyone of sound mind and judgement would wish to take that role on, a garbage excuse for a football club.

If it is just speculation by the bookies then it's an insight into their perception of Rovers as a club. i.e. Why would someone manage Rovers when they could manage the mighty Salford City or anyone else for that matter.
I suspect it is more likely they have sources telling them Barton is being approached by other clubs (with or without permission).
