Changing managers generally brings about a second half of season bounce. We didn't get it last season because we stuck with Ward. That went well. You're saying you'd rather stick with bad results and risk a relegation battle potentially into Conf South than sack the manager? who said anything about risking league status? All I'm saying is if we're not as high up the league as some would like around crimbo time then should we really go through all the managerial changes we've been used to for so many years now? We have to start to build something and give the manager a bit more time than in previous years. Like we did with Ward right? Like I said - that ended well. That's who said anythign about risking league status - the facts.

Don't want to go over old ground, but I still see 2 sides of story with Penney - that may be because I was friendly with one of the players at the time. But what manager in any walk of life, when brought in to turnaround an established team, goes in and tells them that they are all sh*t and will be out the door first chance he gets? For me, he shot himself in the foot with that approach. And he was never stabbed in the back - it was all up front after that.

If true then that's a very poor way to manage a squad that at the time was very low on confidence

If true then that's a very poor way to manage a squad that at the time was very low on confidence The player told me that at the time, and it wasn't one who Penney was specifically looking to replace. That said, this was just one side of the story, and undoubtedly there things were a bit cliquey in the dressing room, as is normal when a team is well established. Most managers actually encourage that togetherness - providing they are that manager's players, of course. Meaning that this player was p*ssed off on behalf of his mates, which you would be really.

Campbell was a snake in hindsight and it honestly wouldn't surprise me if "Trolls" tenure was helped along to an end by him and his boys, let alone Penney's!

Well I reckon we are going to be changing managers come next Monday at 3 o'clock I think that it's fair to say that the jury is most definitely out on DC littlestoke, but next Monday may be a little premature in my opinion.
