Also said they have turned down a offer from Premiership club for one of the youngsters.

I assume if we keep guessing long enough then someone will be right sooner or later. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Young lad from Salisbury whose name rather annoyingly escapes me will join by the end of the week.
Cardiff City made a formal approach for Lockeyr yesterday that was turned down immediately.
P.S - Hello everyone.

DC wants a couple of forwards who will compliment Harrold and Brunt who will play off their shoulder and score 20 goals in a season. Meeting with a player today. Wants pace and wide men. Sounds good on paper. Paper is all it is for now though. Proof is on the pitch.

For the last couple of years the proof is in the puddings we've had on the pitch.

That made me smile!!
Despite all our problems as a club I really do think we all do well to retain a sense of humour - maybe that is all that is left!!

Jamie White! That is him! Thank you Wes. All done and dusted and will be announced probably Friday. Interesting. He has good ability (I tipped off the club about him during his Winchester days), but i'm surprised we're interested considering his horrific injury record. If it wasn't for those injuries he could've made it at Southampton by all accounts, having played for them in The Championship. He's suffered cruciate ligament damage, a broken leg, a dislocated ankle and had a double operation for a Gilmore's Groin problem.

It would be easy to say just about right for us given what you say regarding injury history. But as always - lets wait and see! We will welcome all those that want to be here for the right reasons.

But in fairness Wes, our injury prevention and player rehabilitation program seem to be top notch :wallbang:

Seen White a couple of times for both Winchester and Salisbury, a very good player if he can stay injury free. Would be reasonably pleased if we sign him.

I was sort of disappointed by the fact DC said he wanted his top/priority targets sorted first and yet within the next 10 days he thinks we may only have two new players on board. Still, it may just be the way he worded it and I am pleased to hear his insistence that our new strikers will play off the shoulder and have the potential to score 20-a-piece next season. 3 wingers and 2 creative midfielders is good to hear but I do think another CB should be a priority and not just a 'maybe'. A right footed central defender would help us no end in defence.
Fingers crossed we are not left disappointed.

What's the chance of him staying injury free at Rovers? How many games will White, Gow & Harrold miss between them this season if we sign all 3?? If Cardiff have bid for Lockyer it looks like DC's overlooked the fact they are no longer a Premiership club!

Officially I believe they are still a premier league club until the 1st of July.
