Taylor Hawkins RIP

I wonder what Dave Grohl is thinking, to have 2 close friends in his famous bands die like they have is heartbreaking just for him.

On March 25, 2022, the Foo Fighters' official social media accounts announced that Taylor Hawkins had died at 50, with the cause of death being unconfirmed.

The band was on tour in South America at the time of the announcement and was scheduled to perform at the Estéreo Picnic Festival in Bogotá, Colombia, that night.

Taylor Hawkins overdosed on heroin in August 2001, which put him in a coma for two weeks.

Just read this on the news, not a big surprise, but none-the-less a tragedy, at his age and all that as the saying goes, should have known better.


Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins had opioids, marijuana and other drugs in his system before he died, Colombian investigators say.

A toxicology report showed traces of 10 substances in his body, including anti-depressants.

The cause of death remains unknown and investigators did not say if the mix of drugs was a factor.

The Colombian attorney general's office said it was still investigating and would release more details later.

"The National Institute of Forensic Medicine continues to conduct the necessary medical studies to ascertain the cause of death," it added.
