On Monday, we had Chris Jelf come out and say kids would be free to go Saturday and that we should aim criticism at the board and not the players.
On Tuesday, Nick Higgs does a rather sheepish, nervy interview with not a shadow of his useful arrogance on show, in fact it was hard to not feel a bit sorry for the bloke. States he is is backing the manager and players (although that is debatable as he didn't get behind Clarke in the summer with failure to confirm he would be the boss for the season ahead and financially where we have missed out on several targets as we couldn't meet their wage demands.
Fast forward another couple of weeks, where all of a sudden Higgs confirms we are going to make 3 new signings (where was this money a couple of weeks ago?).
Make no mistake the board are panicking in my opinion and they fear the wrath of the crowd this Saturday. They know they have had to react accordingly hence the panic this week and trying to keep us fans on side.
Just hope it is not all too little too late...

We are 3 games into the season. It is clearly not too late.

I think there's always been more money in the coffers than the board and DC has let on . This is a comon tactic used to lower wage demands.

I'm just hoping the board and dc dig out blind on the last few signings and get some quality in .

A week of desperation. A weekend of pleasure.
Please let this be the case. I can't take another bad weekend!

It really does make me understand why we sing goodnight Irene. To think that before they ripped Eastville down, I used to get in and stand on the tote just to get the feelings back. It is so bloody sad.

I think I have done my talking for this week, now it's time for me to just sit back and see what happens on the pitch. Regardless what we think of the manager, team or board, we really, really need points on the board.

Suspect a nice big cheque arrived postmarked Southampton ....the first instalment of the Lambert transfer money after Liverpool FC had paid the Saints. The Saints accountant has had so many millions arrive in the account recently he wants to offload- some probably for tax purposes.
.....therefore we can splash the cash on a big target man ...Lambert mark two maybe

Surely Smudger's transfer funds will arrive before Lambert's.
Although it doesn't really matter if we could afford half a dozen new signings if nobody will actually sign for us?

How do you know it wasn't DC dragging his feet and has had a kick up the ass to add some depth?
