Abravomich is to sell CFC and all net profit will go toward the aid of Ukraine humanitarian needs ........... it would be hard for him to condemn P as it would create family problems obviously , at least it is something

He’s become a bit of a pantomime in relation to this story, will he, won’t he. I wonder if he tried to hand it over to the Chelsea Trust but they didn’t /couldn’t move fast enough before the Government act and it wasn’t clear what ‘stewardship’ legally meant. So he’s decided to sell the club to one of his rich cronies (minus the £1.9bn Chelsea owe him). Rumours of a Swiss possibility. That being the case all the financial transactions will take place in Switzerland where I’m sure there will be no limits on what Russians do. Just like WWII when the Nazis continued unhindered. Very convenient to all concerned.
UTG!

If I was Abramovitch, I`d want back the hundred million I spent on Lukaku. Biggest waste of money, since the £200 I paid for a Morris Marina.

I still not clear on this (I'm a bit slow). So Roman is writing off approx. £1.5Bil that CFC owe him. Right, got it. And he will give the net proceeds of the sale to "benefit of all victims of the war in Ukraine". Bit wooly exactly where that is going and when - but that's going to be an additional (let's say) £1.5Bil. So is the £1.5Bil loan write off deducted from the sale price? Giving a charitable donation of approx. £zero? Sorry to be pedantic. But I'll quibble over an additional couple of quid on a utilities bill.

OK, excuse my ignorance but there is a lot of talk about Chelsea being sold now Abramovitchs assets are frozen. I know Chelsea cannot sell or buy anything, so how can the club be sold?
Doesn't make sense to me, I am sure I am missing something but I haven't heard how this can happen?

If were a club outside London with a smaller profile and fewer supporters ( ooo something like us), then I'm confident they would be left to rot. Let's hope Jordan doesn't invade a sovereign country.

OK, that sounds like bulls**t then. So this "special licence" is granted, surely it can't mean Abramovitch gets money (please god no, that would be ridiculous), so where does it go? Assuming he can't get at it then why would he sell the club? What would be the benefit to him? I assume the government couldn't pocket the money itself, freezing his assets is one thing, selling them from under him is another.

Breaking News from the BBC
Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich suffered symptoms of suspected poisoning at talks in Kyiv earlier this month, sources close to him say.
The Chelsea FC owner - who has now recovered - reportedly suffered sore eyes and skin peeling.
Two Ukrainian peace negotiators were also said to have been affected. The condition of Mr Abramovich and the Ukrainian negotiators, who include Ukrainian MP Rustem Umerov, has improved since the incident on 3 March, the Wall St Journal quoted sources as saying.
A source close to Mr Abramovich told the BBC he had suffered symptoms of suspected poisoning. They said he had now recovered and was continuing with negotiations to try and end the war in Ukraine.
Mr Abramovich travelled between Moscow and Kyiv for several rounds of talks at the start of the month.

Latest from the BBC:
The Premier League has approved the £4.25bn takeover of Chelsea by a consortium led by LA Dodgers co-owner Todd Boehly.
The league says the consortium has passed its owner's and directors' test.
The Premier League club was put up for sale before owner Roman Abramovich was sanctioned over his links to Russian president Vladimir Putin.
The purchase remains subject to the Government issuing the required sale licence.
The final stages of the transaction will then need to be completed.
The government does not want Abramovich to make any proceeds from the sale but sources are optimistic about a deal being finalised on Tuesday night.
"We now believe everyone will be ready to issue the necessary licences" said one insider.
"The last remaining hurdle boils down to a number of final technical details that are being discussed with the club."
Earlier this month the deal had seemed close to collapse over concerns proceeds would not reach good causes as promised by Abramovich.
Abramovich denied that he had asked for his £1.5bn loan to Chelsea be repaid when the club was sold.
Several parties expressed an interest but Chelsea agreed to sell to the Boehly-led consortium earlier in May.
The consortium is led by Boehly but Clearlake Capital, a Californian private equity firm, would own a majority of the shares in Chelsea. Other investors include US billionaire Mark Walter, also a co-owner of the LA Dodgers, and Swiss billionaire Hansjoerg Wyss.
Chelsea have been allowed to continue operating under a special government licence which expires on 31 May.
