Some observations from last night. 72% possession for us must be a record for the season. Whelan completed so many passes, it was almost hypnotic. Disappointed in our right side, especially second-half. I would have hooked Nicholson and put on Thomas. Hoole looked tentative going forwards. Elliot Anderson flatters to deceive. I want him to drive at players, just like Collins and Harry Anderson do. This opens up what was a blanket defence. Taken off, when he should have been in his element. Loft with Clarke did not work. Please play Saunders, no ifs, no buts, instead of Loft for rest of season. Even Spence instead of Loft. Last 15 minutes, without Anderton, Coutts, Finley etc. and Whelan out on his feet, we were there for the taking. Superb strike from Evans. Belshaw is quick and decisive. Harry Anderson has been our best player in last 2 home games. IMHO great momentum, but not quite good enough to win play-offs. It will be an excellent achievement to get there, given start to season. Agree with most of that vaughan. The Anderson thing, I thought last night that Elliot couldn’t drive at them in the second half because Barrow sat so deep there were few spaces. He did before they reorganised with the sending off. Harry could and did because he was much wider where the spaces were. Harry A is becoming a very consistent attacking threat, we’ll done to him. The spaces on the right in the second half were there, we just didn’t make the right choices. Imo! UTG!

A great 25 yarder from a very good footballer Texas!👍 Greeted by a mighty roar at the Mem and no doubt at all ,disappointed sigh by some 'around here'. Why would any rovers supporter be disappointed with a win baselswh ? I think you are getting a bit paranoid mate, not liking the manager and wanting rovers to win are two, very separate things Indeed. And, once again, an attender raising the issue of non attenders. Sigh.

Your cats were spot on with "nervy" - it was definitely a nail biting night! I hope they'll be saying something positive about Saturday, so I can relax a bit - Dom Telford worries me. UTG They are huge gas heads, cosmo is 13.5 kilos of Maine coon gas 13.5 kilos?? You can`t be serious. What is he..half pack horse?

Nice touch from the Barrow players to club together and pay for their supporters' coach last night.

Unfortunately he passed away in 1986 at the age of 10 due to respiratory failure. Amazingly at the time of his death, he had a 15 inch neck, 33 inch waist, and was 38 inches long.

Blimey, we could have been twins.

If you dont believe it then you are very welcome to come and visit and give him some belly rubs. He is not fat BTW. I never see him as looking extraordinarily big, not until the Mrs picks him up and then he looks massive

Come round to mine alftupper, you wouldn’t be the first nor the last, to say he wasn’t that weight. Luckily the breeds trait is of a soft clown and they are also called the dog in a cats body. Maine coons grow for up to 5 years in some cases.

I really enjoyed the match though it got a tad nervous at 0-0 and at the end. Thank goodness for Belshaw, some great stops at the beginning and at the end. In between I could have gone in goal for all the work he had to do. But he did it when needed. What a signing he’s become. Nick Anderson was unlucky to be subbed because he is getting better and better. I think he knows what he can’t do and sticks to things he can and he’s very good on the ball and looks dependable.I thought Elliot A and Harry A had great first halfs but Harry kept it up but Elliot dropped off I think because Barrow played so deep he couldn’t make those runs, there was little space for him. I actually though Ryan Loft added something when he came on, he was lively and shook their defenders. Luca H did ok but when advanced in attack him and Sam N overloaded that part of Barrows defence but seemed to lack the confidence to swing in crosses and passed back when he shouldn’t have done. Imo only! Aaron C certainly made a difference when he came on. Not Evans’ best match but his quality shone through when it was needed although I thought he was too deep for much of the time. Glen Whelan played well and stopped them on many occasions. I guess that we made so many changes yet still controlled the game is a good sign. Barrow were ok. They played some neat football and when they had the player sent off they reorganised and set themselves up well. It was frustrating to see them time waste but all teams do it. I was in the East Stand and the fans around me were getting nervous esp as we were playing some lovely possession football but not having an end product until the goal. We do play some great stuff on the ground going forward. With the midfield options we’ve got I’m not sure we missed Finley except at the end when we missed a bit of his control to manage the game. So it became squeaky bum time. Well done to those hardy Barrow fans who made a bit of noise on a horrible evening weather wise. Well done the team and JB. Although frustrating at times it is an attractive team to watch atm. Now we move on to the Newport match in good form. COYB! UTG! I dont know if you are the same wareham as at the other place but wasn’t that your first match in a long time ? Did it live up to your expectations, if so ?

I love cats, ( help out out at the cat rehoming centre in Horfield ) and I`ve seen some big cats there. Maine Coons and Ragdolls, but never anything 13.5 kilos.

I dont know if you are the same wareham as at the other place but wasn’t that your first match in a long time ? Did it live up to your expectations, if so ? Not many gasheads in Wareham KP! Though there is one in Wimborne. It was the first Rovers match since November for family reasons so yes I am and apart from the journey it was a good match. We were attractive to watch, played football the way it should be played got a great goal and more importantly, 3 points. A very good number 9 to complement the skill and pace we have in midfield and it would be even better. The weather put a bit of a damper on the fanzone but the band ‘played on’ and I could imagine in the sunshine it would be a great addition to the match day. So yes, it did. UTG!
