Oldham looked up for it at Scunthorpe, seemed to play at a quickish tempo.
Hopefully Sam Finley will be available for selection,I think the team will be happy to have Sam amongst them at Boundary Park, on a Winters Tuesday night.
I get the impression Elliott Anderson will start the game,it seems he is genuine quality.
There's a good preview of the game,'where we are' etc, from Joe about, worth a listen.
Latics are fighting against relegation and will be a tough nut to crack.
So,we had better play 'sweet' and crack a nut.As Tchaikovsky might of said,if he had been a Bristol Rovers supporter.
Up the Gas!
Come on Rovers!

We might actually start an away game as favourites, wouldn't have believed that a few months ago. Fingers crossed we can keep it tight first half, as you say they are beginning the fight to avoid relegation, and then go on and win it 2-0.

Very good, Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 8 in C minor, Op. 13, commonly known as Sonata Pathétique, was written in 1798 when the composer was 27 years old.

To have any chance of reaching a play-off position, tonight's game must be classed as a 'must win'.

To have any chance of reaching a play-off position, tonight's game must be classed as a 'must win'. Ah. as was pointed out on my Run In thread (nice to have run in thread rather than lots of run ins on the threads) we still have 43% of the season to go, so bit early for must wins? As we have seen from previous successes it’s built on dropping and picking up points in unexpected places. We are away at famous old club trying to avoid going out the league, it’s that stage of the season you can’t turn up without your “a” game for these fixtures. Who is it who has been counting down from the points total we can still achieve - I think that’s a worthwhile stat to keep eye on, as we can relate to average total for 3rd average for 7th.

Up the Gas! Come on Rovers! A fear now is we may have a great attacking midfielder in Elliott, but to swap him in for someone a different type of midfield player could upset the balance of the side, as all the creative players first need the team to build the platform on which they create, that platform is built from press, keeping it tight, getting a jump or challenge in ie the unsung hero’s?

I imagine Joe will soon have Whelan on from the bench if the midfield needs stiffening up.
