I come from a more pro-Gorringe stance than many on here, but that wasn't an interview becoming of a CEO, for me. His youth means that leaning forward and waffling of cliché makes him sound like a bloody footballer more than a Chief Exec running a business. I have an open mind, but he'd do better to put a tie one, sit back and up straight, and give concise considered answers only, without any life-story waffle or 'love the club' footballer flim-flam. Film-flam!

Early days of course but not much of a vision there.
Would hope for more going forward.

Film-flam! Not sure I agree about that Shoveller. I get what you mean about some of it but I’ve realised now that expecting everyone to dress like I would is long gone. He talked about pulling in the same direction and about long term aims of the Championship. He sounds as if he’s going to be more involved in recruitment than Starnes was but tbh, we never really knew who did what apart from TG being Commercial Director. But his CV reads of business and management so I guess we’ll soon see him putting his knowledge and learning into practice. I’m not saying this is necessarily a major thing but it was good to see some real enthusiasm and passion for what he’s about to do. Starnes has had a lot of illness so I didn’t see much of that from him over the past two years. He’s been a more visible presence on match days which in itself isn’t major but still important to be out and about on match days to see how the fans are reacting to what’s going on. Like you I’ve an open mind and hope he’s learnt from his mistakes. Good luck to him. UTG!

He talked about Championship, everyone pulling together, and after the last two years I’d settle for half of that! I’d hope he’ll develop, with others, some vision and more importantly a means to achieve it. Btw, I’m not disagreeing with you, just not sure you get that in a short interview. UTG!

Having a young CEO may be an astute appointment given our well known observations about the average age of matchday going supporter.

.... and some were saying here (in recent years) he's only going to be here short period and move on leaving the devastation he was causing... (?)

Fact:
In said interview, he praises the off the field staff e.g. Manager and coaches, as the best that he has witnessed in last 4 years.
Positive comments on Joey and Co and later reciprocated by Joey.
This love-in between Manager and new CEO must be nauseating to some. #frustrationmanagement.
3 days to CPS and return to Sheffield. Chin-up!!

Tom is clever enough to back the Manager and he wants the whole club to do the same.
Everybody singing from the same page and then Bristol Rovets can progress.
Just as Joe has been saying.
UTG!

first 2 minutes - he's got 9-10 direct reports. Too many. Not a great start

'numerous options' for a new stadium - some 'preferred', others 'not viable'
Frooty is still an option

He said in interview on Having a Gas
"The days of rag-bag Rovers are over".
Yes, Tom, but we have lost our soul...
No Chappell, Masters, Brookman, Holtby et al, all sacrificed on the altar of progress.
A Greek Tragedy, let alone a Gas one.
I won't be going back until the contract with Ticketmaster is over.

Lost soul? Personally I was fed up of wandering around like a lost soul in amateur Hades for years. I welcome the new era.

But all those genuine Gasheads, including those that literally bled blue and white, had a job or role to play. Do you not miss their soulful contribution, or are you just worried about what goes on, on the pitch? Some may not have a code of ethics, moral compass, but Bas, I can not step into the ground again until Ticketmaster is no longer involved in the commercial running of the club.
