He's a screwball, who's created an image of himself for himself. Anyone who is taken in by his twaddle is also a screwball. He likes to talk about his playing success - for context, he won nothing and has one England cap (sub in a friendly). He was though lauded as the best midfielder in the country at the time by, um, himself. Just in our division, Nigel Clough and Keith Curle leave him standing. Appoint sol Campbell and perhaps he can start talking about his playing career instead.

Wael must be embarrassed by the way his club is being mismanaged, dare he show his face at the next football Expo? So why didn't Wael accept the alleged offer to go? Or sack him before that? The answer to this thread is we can lose by 3 4,5,6,Saturday, JB will still be manager Monday. No idea why - maybe JB has a photo of Wael in his safe.

I have accepted the scenario expressed to me the other day where Joey and Eddy caught Wael by surprise after Saturdays game, demanded Wael's backing and left the room within 60 seconds. I bet Wael was kicking doors and head butting walls after the event.

You've run businesses, wouldn't you say that a key ability required is to be able to think and react to make decisions quickly when placed in unexpected situations?

Perhaps this was why Joey didn't offer his resignation to Starnes.

At this moment in time I have just listened to today's full interview, B***** now has the same touch your face affliction that Garner had during his interviews, a real sign of nervous stress. At this moment in time we should be grateful that there are two trials heading his way which might put an end to his voluntary work at Rovers, at this moment in time an hour in church on his own won't do him much good or climbing Snowdon for that matter, at this moment in time, he if wasn't such a blot of a human being you might feel sorry for him, but at this moment in time you can't wait for him to disappear, not only from Rovers but from football for ever. At this moment in time I will never suffer or listen to an interview he ever gives again, the men in white coats must be hovering. After tomorrows game hasn't he looked at the forthcoming fixtures.

All of the remaining League fixtures are against 4th tier clubs. He said himself something along the lines of, if he couldn't get promoted from this division he has no right managing a football team. We aren't getting promoted this season, that much is already obvious. So what are we waiting for? Must be that someone thinks it's a great idea to have the club name mentioned repeatedly when the national news cover his upcoming trials.

Trying to sell that getting one more victory than his predecessors over 40 games but in a division below is some kind of achievement according to Japanese philosophy is a good try but I’m not buying it

Would a spanking at Col U move the dial, or are we hoping for some uptick before Her Majesty's courts deliver the coup de grace?

Didn't his fan base (imagine being fans of *that* - and they never did explain what the attraction was) at one stage insist on giving him ten games (this season, after he presided over last season's collapse to be embarrassingly adrift at the bottom)? Played 14, points 15. That all went quiet: is that it?
If this shameful period grinds on until May (perish the thought) I think we the club will stay up because it can pick up enough points off the dead wood of the league (but up against a well managed and organised div 4 side, forget it). That seems to be it for the positives and it's dig in and settle for that (or not). What is there to support in that?

Unfortunately I think those fans fell for the “it will take until Christmas and it’s all the previous managers’ fault” interview and are still expecting us to p*** the league from January to May

I hope the powers that be havn’t decided to sack Joey without compensation after a guilty in court. That wouldn’t be fair on Joey, it wouldn’t be decent. If they have given him a contract they should pay him up properly for it, not wait for a chance to sack him on the cheap.

No. I said deciding today or weeks ago he had no future here, Trolls waiting for inevitable phone call getting Xmas shopping in ahead of it for example, but rather than sack him now and settle up on the contract given him, waiting for a chance to do Joey under breach of contract. That wouldn’t be decent of the owners, not decent to club, long suffering fans or Joey. isn’t your post not a bit typical of the B***** Hating mentality? Don’t settle up his contract this week, wait a few weeks so we don’t have to give him a penny of his promised contract.

I don’t speak for anyone else who objects to the club being associated with, and effectively endorsing, B*****, but in my ‘mentality’ the sooner he’s gone the better.

I didn’t say that, I think we should sack him now and have done since February when I didn’t think he should be appointed.

Bung B***** the lovely lolly this week, don’t wait weeks for a chance to sack without much compo. It would be distasteful behaviour of the club, and not a right way to treat a manager. We need to get some momentum behind: “be fair to our Joey B*****, sack him now - no waiting to avoid compensation.”
