from Frosty in the Post - sounds like Joey is blame-shifting still, but available for a chat in the car park...
“It just happens to be the manager who’s probably the most susceptible for the club’s relegation. He will have to take that on the chin, Ben, as I will and as Paul Tisdale will.
“We’re all culpable for the club not being in League One this year and I don’t think he’s done that maliciously. He tried to the best of his ability to build a team here, and I can understand the frustration having inherited some of the on and off-field issues which were probably huge frustrations for Ben when he was a manager here.
“He’s a decent bloke and he might take me to task on a few things I said, but I have no problem with that. If he wants to discuss the finer points, I’m sure I can spare 15-20 minutes for him after the game.
...
“I think the damage was done in the pre-season,” he said. “When I speak to people in and around the club I think they were severely undermanned in pre-season with some of the cultural and behavioural patterns that started to emerge under Ben’s watch that were detrimental.
“Ultimately, he recruited the players and the players ended up getting him the sack and getting Tisdale the sack and ended up taking us out of the division.
...
“He probably won’t thank me for going on about it, but as you asked it’s important that it’s put to bed and we have an opportunity now with my group of players this season to put right the wrongs of the last couple of years.
“Ben is a good man, a good football man and a good coach and he’s got an opportunity at Swindon now to prove he’s a good manager and no doubt, certainly when you have setbacks in life and you have things go against you, the next test is an opportunity to put right some of the wrongs and I’m sure Ben would like to do that on Saturday with his Swindon side.
“Whichever way you look at it, it was his recruitment, his first team that set the course that team was set on.

it was, after all, the team that was lower mid-table when BG was shown the door. Since then, it seems to me that we've had nothing but deterioration on all fronts - mainly due to the achievement-free one currently in post

Why would Ben Garner spare 15-20 minutes of his time justifying himself to this crock of sh1t.
The relegation is on your CV B*****, own it.

Good grief, the guy just can't help himself. Ask a question, he opens his mouth, and out comes everything on his mind. Interviews now come across to me like the teacher in the Peanuts / Charlie Brown cartoons: "Blah, blah blah...".
“He’s a decent bloke and he might take me to task on a few things I said, but I have no problem with that. If he wants to discuss the finer points, I’m sure I can spare 15-20 minutes for him after the game."
I would imagine Ben Garner would have no interest with a chat, give a quick hand-shake, a look in the eye, and be on his way. I wouldn't blame him if he kept his hands in his pockets and gave acknowledgement with just a nod and a wry smile and kept walking.

I won’t be disappointed if Swindon win only just to see the wry smile on Garner’s as he acknowledges B*****. B***** is to football management as what Bez is to British music.

You lot have moved into a world of fantasy now. You knew we would join you one day Basel Touche PHE!🙂 Join me in supporting the manager El Presidente has chosen. Or at least accept WAQs decision. You posted how a successful club is a united one, where all sing from the same sheet.Well supporting/accepting the manager is being united. An es spirit de corps.Healthy and positive for Rovers. We had complaints about Lennie and GC. That ended badly. We must be united, unless it's someone I don't like?

Remove the cause and unity can be achieved. If it was Waq's decision then he needs to seek help making his next appointment. B***** Out!

This we must all be united,'unless I don't like the managerial appointment', is destructive. Do as I say,not what I do, is a wee bit arrogant. WAQ gets to choose the managers. Also, getting rid of Joe B***** will not necessarily united the fan base.
