Agree totally with England and Jimmy Greaves, his record stands up in any era of the game.
Northern Ireland will always be George Best, My caveat would be Billy Gillespie maybe.
Scotland has to be Law and Dalglish, again Hughie Gallacher was a superb forward too.
Now John Charles was a big bustling forward or centre-back and could score with both feet, he was regarded as the best all round footballer from Great Britain. Having said all that i will put forward 2 players that rival him as a forward only and they are Trevor Ford and Ian Rush, all were fantastic players. Career Stats: John Charles P,630 G,299 = 0.48 - Trevor Ford P,470 G, 255 = 0.55 - Ian Rush P,898 G,411 = 0.46.
So many legends to pick from and sometimes it's impossible to pick, it comes down to favourites and stats.

I'll say let's look at their time at Juve. One is a Juventus legend.

I'll say let's look at their time at Juve. One is a Juventus legend. Yes, Ian Rush played in 40 games, scoring 13 goals = 0.32 - John Charles played 179 games, scoring 105 goals = 0.58 a massive difference in their fortunes. J.C was one of the big british success stories from way back in Italy, Greavsie got 9 in 14 for A.C Milan but was very homesick and could not wait to come home to Tottenham. Joe Jordan scored 12 in 52 for Milan, Trevor Francis got 33 in 134 games for Sampdoria & Atalanta, Gerry Hitchens played for Torino, Atalanta, Cagliari and Inter in the 1960's. Most of the data in Italy is missing, sadly he died playing in 1983 during a charity football match for a Mold-based firm of solicitors at Castell Alun sports ground in Hope. Seconds after heading a cross over the bar, Hitchens collapsed and was taken to Wrexham General Hospital but pronounced dead on arrival. His ashes were interred in Holywell on 20 April 1983. He was 48. So as a forward John Charles stands head and shoulders above all the Brits that have played in serie A over the decades past.
