I think a phone call to Neil Warnock , a bended knee and polite request.
" Neil, I know you have hated us over the years but we are probably two years away from going bust unless we do something urgently
We desperately NEED you to sort out six years of s**te"

“It was an embarrassment of a game. We turned up and thought, because we were Bristol Rovers, that we were going to turn them over." Totally unaccaptable. Who is responsible for this attitude - The "big club" rhetoric from Clarke and "big budget" BS from Higgs maybe? At least they recognise one of the issues. Now they have to do something about it. We the fans were warned by the fans of Lincoln, Grimsby etc that we would be like big time Charlies. Well we are ~ we are the mighty Bristol Rovers ~ being legged over by the part timers because they know where they are and what they are. It is obvious our players had other ideas. The attitude needs to change and change quickly! Doesn't that sum up fans feelings as well though, we don't win our first three games so its sack the Board, the manager, with players like Leadbitter already deemed useless. Once everyone realises we are not going to walk this league we might start to turn the corner.

Perm one from three Gary Johnson, Neil Warnock or Ian Holloway any one of these would sort us out.

Still trying to work out what he did to get the job in the first place. He has done nothing apart from a half decent job at bloody Salisbury.
Totally agree

Really, you think if people realise we're not going to walk the league Leadbitter will start playing better? So the fans have made him play badly? Even though the support the team got for the first game of the season was exemplary. It was excellent. And yet we were still rubbish. It seems to me the fans spent the whole off-season playing down our chances. These forums were full of people telling us it wouldn't be a walk in the park, and pretty much everyone agreeing. Then DC and the team came out and said we would win the league. This implicitly blaming the fans for anything that doesn't go well is ridiculous.

The support received by the players over the past few years, particularly at the back end of last season away at Pompey, Wycombe at home to Mansfield....and the rest, was absolutely magnificent. It didnt make any difference because we were still sh*t. If you think any of this sh*tfest is down to the fans then you are deluded.

If the woeful Lee Mansell's comments in the Post are to be believed, and they have been published as fact, Rovers lost because they were too arrogant and underestimated Altrincham. This bunch of losers masquerading as blue and quarters players have absolutely no right to underestimate anyone they are so poor. Most of them not even up to Conference standard, all part of Clarke's pathetic off season acquisitions. If that was a root and branch overhaul of the club following demotion I would hate to see what light touch is. But the point is Clarke sent them out and he said he wouldn't allow any opponent to be underestimated, so he either didn't get the message across or the players didn't listen. Either way he is an absolute joke, his appointment was a travesty that cost us dear. For all of Ward's failings Clarke made it fatally worse. He won't get another job in football worth speaking of and should lose this one now. He'll only do further damage if that is possible. Can't see why the Board didn't see this coming - the off season couldn't have been any worse. i think mansells comments were in the heat of the moment,go through the team and the subs and tell me which players were arrogant and underestimated altrincham? for me only 1 player had a lousy attitude on the day,,many like ollie clarke and leadbitter or mcchrystal looked very short of confidence but they were hardly acting like big time charlies.

Seems a lot of people on here a papering over that fact there is a reason we are in this league and there is a reason all the other teams are in this league. There is a reason why are players are playing for a conference side and a reason why every other player in this league is playing in this league.
WE ARE A CONFERENCE TEAM IN THE CONFERENCE PLAYING OTHER CONFERENCE TEAMS. ARE SQUAD IS FULL OF CONFERENCE PLAYERS. OUR MANAGER IS A CONFERENCE MANAGER.
WE HAVE GOT ONE POINT FROM A POSSIBLE NINE!
Calm down dears! Its not just the team that looks a bit amateurish at the moment. We the fans seem to be pretty amateurish in this league.
But hey, just my opinion. I'm gonna give the boys some time before writing them off.

Clarke says Saturday was a "wake up call".
What was 4th May when you crying your eyes out then? That wasn"t enough?
The bloke won't make September, he's nearly as clueless as the Chairman.

Why not just face reality. We are going to be in the Conference for a long time (if we don't leave through the wrong door). We have a poor team with an inexperienced manager and neither the money nor the will at BoD level to do anything about it.
