The bookies have this as a tight game - Rovers and Orient to win both at around 13-8, the draw 2-1. Orient fans I know are quietly confident this season. Kenny Jackett is a well respected manager, in sharp contrast to our own. Orient are currently 4th in the table P7 W3 D3 L1 goals For 13, Against 6. They are unbeaten away from home - 3 draws. Rovers are currently 22nd in the table P7 W2 D1 L4 goals For 5, Against 10. Rovers two 1-0 wins have come against teams currently 20th and 24th. We have only played two teams currently in the top half of the division, losing both.

The bookies seem confident in Rovers fortune changing. I feel differently and sense a very nervous, mistake prone, and shot shy rovers and a 0-2 defeat, delighted if proved wrong.

I think we will struggle against Leyton Orient on Saturday. I would love us to win, but unless we get our scoring boots on then we would be lucky to scrape a draw. 0-2 for me

I was at the Manor and Ashbury hotels in Devon about 5 years ago chatting to a Leyton O fan at the resident FIFA tournament (I actually beat a kid in a game and enjoyed it).
He was lamenting their relegation to the Conf and I reassured him they were one of those bigger clubs that would always be back, like we did.
Glad to say for his sake I was right. You talk to random people in random places in this language non football fans don't understand.
Hope they lose Saturday tho.
Jackett is not a L2 manager. That is a real coup. He really should have succeeded at Pompeii, he had the players and structure, just the final hurdle beat him.

The choice of the name Orient came about at the behest of a player, Jack R Dearing, who was an employee of the Orient Steam Navigation Company, later part of P&O – Peninsular & Oriental. The term "Orient" derives from the Latin word oriens meaning "east".
I remember Jabo Ibehre as one of those players who always caused Rovers problems in the lower leagues. Great player and still only 38 which means he could do a job if the other veterans in the squad are out with old people related injuries.

Kenny Jackett and Gareth Ainsworth would be the top of my list when Wael comes to his senses regarding B***** that's if we can convince them that we have more potential than the club they are currently at.

One for the discreet interview in a hidden away hotel room. I actually hated him until i listened to an interview with him about mental health on a recent podcast, now i think he's great. I am easily influenced

We have played Leyton Orient 114 times, Winning 47, Losing 40 and 27 Draws, we have won 6-1, 5-3 and 1-5 & Drew 3-3 x 4, we have also lost 5-0 & 5-2.
We have won our last 3 games with them 1-2, 1-1 (4-2 pens) & 2-1.
Darren Pratley is their 36 year old captain who has played over 570 games, mostly at Swansea, Bolton and Charlton.
Andrew & Julien Lloyd Webber, Daniel Mays, Colin Matthews & Bob Mills are big fans.
The 5-3 score noted above was on Boxing day 2001, when Nathan Ellington scored a hat-trick, a bumper crowd of 7,458 turned up, i remember it well.

Now it seems everyone scores against us.

The bookies seem confident in Rovers fortune changing. I feel differently and sense a very nervous, mistake prone, and shot shy rovers and a 0-2 defeat, delighted if proved wrong. The bookies got most games wrong in Leicester’s Premier League winning season, repeatedly starting them as second favourites in each match. The bookies also often have us as amongst the favourites for promotion preseason. I have no confidence in the bookies!

I was walking out of the ground after this game, and overheard two Orient fans chatting. One said to the other "We're in the wrong division!".

I saw these players in subsequent years. Reading this report made me stop and think. Ian Holloway, Paul Randall, David Williams etc. Oh yeh, Mick Channon coming on as a late substitution. What quality! My how we have fallen...........
