I played against St Anne's a couple of years ago - they have been portrayed as some sort of little village club that Flintoff occasionally turns out for. They are not that at all. They play in the Northern Cricket League (which is about as high a standard as you can get) and they pay half of their 1st team to play. They are a Semi-Professional outfit. I can pretty much guarantee Flintoff gets good money for turning out for them. They also employ 3 ex-Lancs Country players and a recent Sri Lankan test player.
