Concerned to have lost, but the future is very bright. We'd have taken our current position two years ago and it appears we are still competitive at this level. UTG

Good write up, but a 4-1 win can never feel like a defeat IMO. We're going into the final weekend crawling all other the top 3 and we would have taken that 9,6 or even 3 months ago. A draw or a loss would have resigned us to the play offs before the final weekend so I won't complain too much!

Next Sat will be a real iconic experience. We'll be leaving Staffordshire at 9am.The new score board will be a source of much attention.Just imagine if we make it and avoid the Play-offs?Just have to be there. We beat Southport easily this time last year but to no avail as Barnet. pipped us.Can this be the same team that 12 months ago were playing part timers? Amazing season thus far.Loved every minute( except Accrington at home). Thanks for a great season.Have a feeling that this time next week I'll be on cloud nine!!!!!!!!! Where abouts in Staffs do you live? I lived in Leek for a few years between 04-07. Didn't know there were any other Gasheads about!

Wimbledon, Plymouth, Pompy. It makes no difference, we smashed the play offs last year and we'll do so again this year UTG.

I suspect Bristol rovers have a very creditable case and in other circumstances would be in a far stronger position already. I can't say what I really believe otherwise I would be in court, I won't be the only one on this forum that feels the same. I doubt there's anything you could say on this matter that would expose you to prosecution. Are you suggesting the judicial process has been bought in favour of Sainsbury's? Or is it specifically a vendetta against Rovers? Perhaps SL is behind it?

Now let's see, if we don't appeal we definitely won't get any money, if we do appeal we may get something or are the type who expects to win the lottery without ever buying a ticket? That's a good 'un. It made I laff it did. 3 days of complicated legal argument. Consultations with outside experts, days (upon days) of research from barristers, potential liability for Sainsbury's costs and court fees, plus further delay in any plans to raise funds elsewhere...I play the lottery because it's £2 and a bit of fun, I wouldn't play the lottery with the money all that would cost.

How hard is it to accept that a deal being done prior to the next court case is unlikely for obvious reasons. I can't stand the sight or sound of NH and look forward to seeing the back of him, that said it's understandable that with one desperate shot left of recouping any shred of success for him, I mean the club and going on his past administration it was always clear he was going to wait until the last roll of the dice to try and prove himself right. Sainsberries will settle before the court case I can't see that happening I'm afraid. I understand that all offers for a settlement were rebuffed by Rovers prior to the high court case. Having already incurred such expense taking us to court once (due to belligerence by club officials), I expect them to see this through the appeal process.

I don't think much of idle speculation and gossip, but the same applies for assuming a deal is not on the cards. These things take time and it's unlikely to be the work of a few weeks. On the subject of Mr McCrory, whilst it's all a bit of fun to take shots at other clubs with what we view as less than reputable investors, in reality, we'll happily take money from whatever source if it helps stabilise and progress the club.

It sounds that our expectations are now so low we have to accept diabolical days like today by saying it could be worse. It's no real wonder the owners of the club get away with their mismanagement of the club. We really must be collectively the most docile fans in the country. Or I suppose it could be worse we could be a collective coma. The place where I take issue with your comment is this idea of 'not-accepting' the performance? What is the alternative to 'accepting' a result? Do we occupy Filton Avenue for a fortnight, wearing out quarters and refusing to move unless Higgs liquidates his holding and gives it to an interim board of elected fan members? Or does non acceptance mean we boo the management on the pitch and hold up HIGGS OUT banners? I don't understand how this is a better option than getting behind the team and putting the result behind us (because cup upsets happen in the FA cup). We've been knocked out of the FA cup in embarrassing fashion, the club has lost a few pennies and we've potentially lost a big away trip in the 3rd / 4th round. The focus now is on pushing forward in the league, because this time last year we didn't have the option of consolidating a place in the top half of L2.

Is it just me but we've become very mediocre 4th Div team who have lost to a team 75 league places below us. Please explain how it could be worse. I wish I was as easily pleased as you. Well, we could be a very mediocre Conference team? I think they call it the national league now.

Not at all. Every week we spent outside the Football League was worse than this. This is just an embarrassment the team needs to bounce back from. 12 points in the next 5 games and we'll forget all about this result.

Poor choice of words perhaps, I'll rephrase it: Difficult to know what to make of that. It's nice to know he cares and that bad results hurt him, but do we want the boss being that close to blubbing point?"

It can only be explained on the squad. It's impossible to analyse these performances, we know the team we have is FL standard, a FL team should beat a level 7 team every time, regardless of a few great saves. Not sure what we can say, I think we just have to take the defeat and move on.

I don't think I've bullied anyone. I suppose I dwelled on the 'law is an ass' comment, but that's only because I'm baffled by the concept of 'law as an ass'.

Hahahahahaha. Has crazytrain started PMing any of you to call you out for a fight yet? If not, it'll happen soon enough. I'm sure I'll probably get another one now for this. Eeeeek! Not yet, but if he does I'll invite him for a drink at my masonic lodge where we can smooth things over.

Even ignoring the distasteful comparison, you seem to be conflating the criminal justice system with civil contract law. Why? I think, rather than the law, he's talking about the state in general. Either way, we've all stopped talking about Mondays judgement.
