I thought this thread meant we had sold him!
He does'nt score goals,so unless Joey sees potential, I hope he leaves.

Thanks. I don't read the Bristol Post or the official web-site any more...

£16,666 per goal then. Not an appalling return for a winger. Sadly he was played as a centre forward. Which, he patently, is not.

Bristol Rovers have been ordered to pay a six-figure compensation fee to Gillingham for the signing of Brandon Hanlan last summer.
A tribunal was held last month, with the independent adjudicator setting the transfer fee for the striker after the clubs failed to come to an agreement on a deal when Hanlan joined in August.
Bristol Live understands the Gas were ordered to pay £150,000 to the Kent club at the tribunal.
Gills chairman Paul Scally said in March Rovers had made a "derisory offer" of £50,000 when the player signed.
Gillingham were entitled compensation as Hanlan moved to Priestfield from Charlton Athletic as a 21-year-old and he turned down a contract offer when leaving as an out-of-contract under-24 player.
While the final cost is more than Rovers hoped to pay, Bristol Live understands Gillingham wanted much more for the 24-year-old.
Their expectations, we're told, were north for £750,000 – with fanciful hopes of more than £1million coming their way.
Hanlan played 48 games for the Gas last season, scoring nine goals. He started well as the replacement for Jonson Clarke-Harris, but his form waned at the turn of the year.
And he has returned to pre-season training in supreme shape, committed to proving himself after a difficult season for all wearing the blue and white quarters.
But Rovers are in an awkward position. A fee of £150,000 is a substantial investment in a player who was only handed a two-year deal. Should the striker start the season well and create a market of suitors, he could sign a cross-border pre-contract deal in Scotland, for example, which would see Rovers get no compensation of their own.
Should Hanlan start the season well, Rovers may be minded to try to tie him down to a new deal or even sell him in January, should the dominoes fall appropriately, to ensure they get a greater return on their investment.

I thought this thread meant we had sold him! He does'nt score goals,so unless Joey sees potential, I hope he leaves. Thats harsh. He clearly has some talent and we must be able to coach him into a better player. If Penrice could work with his talent we'd have a good player imo.

At the tribunal he fell over. I must admit that has been one of his most annoying traits in the latter half of the season. For a big lad he falls down so easily. He might score more if he stayed on his feet. Needs more upper body strength!
